Thomas Rhett<\/a> has become a father for the fifth time.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

The 35-year-old country singer and his wife Lauren Akins – who already have daughters Willa, 10, Ada, eight, Lennon, six, and Lilie, four together – welcomed son Brave Elijah into the world last week and the Die a Happy Man hitmaker has been praised by his spouse for helping to “deliver” the tot.<\/p>\n
Sharing a series of photos of their little boy, the couple wrote in a joint post on Instagram: “Welcome to the world Brave [blue and green heart emojis]<\/p>\n
“Oh. my. goodness. Our hearts are just in a big ole puddle with this precious baby BOY .<\/p>\n
“Brave Elijah Akins was born last week at almost 10 pounds and almost 2 weeks early-thank you Jesus this big boy didn\u2019t wait another 2 weeks to be born [heart eye emoji] (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nLauren then celebrated her husband for being her “biggest champion.<\/p>\n
\nShe continued: “Thomas Rhett was my biggest champion in labor delivery[white heart emoji]He helped deliver him ([crying emoji]), was the first one to see and *tearfully*, mixed with a bit of shock announce to us all in the room \u201cIt\u2019s a BOY\u201d.”<\/p>\n
\nShe then added: “We are so grateful God chose us to have YOU cutie pie.<\/p>\n
\n“Your four sisters are smitten and we are completely over the moon in love with you big Brave boy.”<\/p>\n
\nThomas admitted in September he and his wife may have finished having children once their fifth baby was born.<\/p>\n
\nHe joked to Taste of Country: “I mean, five has kind of always been our number, anything above five, we will have to get a Sprinter van.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd the country star revealed that he and Lauren had decided against finding out the sex of their baby this time around.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “Due date is in March and we are going to wait until the day of to figure out what the gender is.<\/p>\n
\n“It’s terrifying for me, but there’s not many surprises left in this world, and I feel that’s one that you kinda get to be surprised with, if you choose to.”<\/p>\n
\nThe couple – who met in elementary school and dated briefly as teenagers before reuniting in 2011 – announced their pregnany news in an Instagram video back in August.<\/p>\n
\nThomas updated his song Life Changes to reveal the happy news and sang in the clip: “Well, I was wrapping my head around being a dad. Big wrench got thrown in the plans that we thought we had. Now Lauren’s showing \u2014 got one on the way.<\/p>\n
\n” That’s five under 10. Hey what can I say? Yeah, life changes. You wake up ain’t nothing the same. Yeah, life changes.”<\/p>\n
