Michael Jackson<\/a>\u2019s daughter, 27, uploaded two images to her Instagram Story featuring Debbie, 67, the nurse who was married to Paris\u2019s father, Michael Jackson, from 1996 to 1999. <\/p>\nIn the first image, Paris wore a red jacket with a Navajo-inspired pattern while Debbie stood beside her in a plaid flannel shirt. <\/p>\n
And in the second, the pair appeared outdoors, with Paris in the same red jacket and a turquoise trucker hat, while Debbie smiled in a cream-coloured top. <\/p>\n
Paris captioned the image: \u201cLately,\u201d followed by a heart emoji.<\/p>\n
\nShe also posted a series of clips showing herself riding a horse while dressed in a cowboy hat and blue jeans. <\/p>\n
\nParis wrote: \u201cJust a chip off the ol\u2019 block.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDebbie married Michael in November 1996 while pregnant with their eldest son, Prince. <\/p>\n
\nThe couple later welcomed Paris in April 1998. <\/p>\n
\nDebbie ultimately relinquished full custody of both Prince and Paris when she and Michael divorced in October 1999. Michael went on to raise Prince and Paris, along with his son Bigi Jackson \u2013 formerly known as Blanket \u2013\u00a0until his death in June 2009 at the age of 50 after getting hooked on hospital-grade tranquiliser Propofol.<\/p>\n
\nParis has previously spoken about reconnecting with Debbie after her father\u2019s death. <\/p>\n
\nThe two resumed contact when Paris was 13.<\/p>\n
\nIn a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, Paris said: \u201cWhen I was really, really young, my mom didn\u2019t exist.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cBy the time my mom came into my life, it wasn\u2019t a \u2018mommy\u2019 thing. It\u2019s more of an adult relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nParis was also by Debbie\u2019s side when Debbie underwent cancer treatment in 2016. <\/p>\n
\nSpeaking on Red Table Talk in 2021, Paris described the dynamic they share.<\/p>\n
\nParis said: \u201cGetting to know her, seeing how similar we are, getting into what kind of music she likes \u2013\u00a0and she really likes country and folk.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cWe look a lot alike. It\u2019s just cool having her as a friend. It\u2019s very chill, which I love. It\u2019s the perfect word to describe it.\u201d<\/p>\n
