\t\t<\/p>\n There was a big shakeup in the premiere of the Scrubs<\/strong><\/a><\/em> revival.<\/p>\n Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn\u2019t watched it yet.<\/strong><\/p>\n The opening episodes of the series revealed that Zach Braff<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s character Dr. John \u201cJ.D.\u201d Dorian and Sarah Chalke<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s Dr. Elliot Reid had broken up off-screen. <\/p>\n John C. McGinley<\/strong><\/a>, who plays Dr. Perry Cox on the show, spoke to Us Weekly<\/a><\/em> about the polarizing decision.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe objective of a pilot is a really, very difficult format for storytellers because you\u2019re inviting people into an ecosystem and you\u2019re introducing new characters in 21 minutes and 30 seconds. So if the objective of a pilot is to get you to come back for the next episode, the pilot achieves that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The actor praised creator Bill Lawrence<\/strong> on the revival, saying he thinks he \u201cnailed it.\u201d<\/p>\n John<\/strong> continued, \u201cThere\u2019s so many \u2018wait until you see this moments\u2019 in the pilot. It\u2019s a home run.\u201d<\/p>\n Judy Reyes<\/strong><\/a>, who plays Carla Espinosa, also added her two cents on the subject.<\/p>\n \u201cBill<\/strong> and Zach<\/strong> have been working together for years,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cZach<\/strong> directed this pilot so the commitment was real and they achieved that because they\u2019re both so talented.\u201d<\/p>\n The first two episodes of the series are now streaming on Hulu.
