It is a strategic asset.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another law enforcement veteran tells Radar that he believes Nancy was kidnapped by someone she knows.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis guy was wearing a mask. He didn\u2019t want to be identified \u2014 not only by the public but also by Nancy,\u2019 he explained,\u201d says Chris McDonough, a retired homicide detective who now works with the Cold Case Foundation<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t know if Nancy got alerts on her phone when someone was at her door. But she could have watched the footage from the first time and seen the guy. And a pattern tells investigators this wasn\u2019t impulsive. This took planning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McDonough went on to say that the video from Nancy\u2019s Nest camera illuminates the kidnapper\u2019s methods and motives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you see someone appearing in video at different locations, different timeframes, potentially different phases of the same criminal act, investigators immediately begin asking: what was the purpose of each appearance?
