\t\t<\/p>\n We are getting an update on what\u2019s happening with Sony\u2019s live-action Spider-Man<\/strong><\/a><\/em> universe!<\/p>\n The production studio has churned out several Spider-Man movies in the past, along with quite a few movies about Spider-Man villains, including the Venom <\/em>trilogy, Madame Web<\/em>, Morbius<\/em> and Kraven the Hunter<\/em>. <\/p>\n While the films haven\u2019t been performing that well at the box office over the past few years, a Sony executive is speaking out about what\u2019s happening with the Spider-Verse, and if more movies are coming. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n During an appearance on The Town<\/em> podcast<\/a>, Sony CEO Tom Rothman<\/strong> confirmed the Spider-Verse is not dead and they will make more movies at some point. He also confirmed that the universe will be a \u201cfresh reboot\u201d with \u201cnew people.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cTo your question about Spider-Man<\/em>: Scarcity has value,\u201d Tom<\/strong> said later in the episode. \u201cYou\u2019ve got to make the audience miss you. It\u2019s the old thing. I always had trouble getting girls to go out with me twice, but until fortunately, my wife took pity on me, but absence makes the heart grow fonder.\u201d<\/p>\n The next Spider-Man movie, a collaboration between Sony and Disney\u2019s Marvel Studios, wrapped filming back in December<\/a> and will hit theaters this summer, on July 31st!<\/p>\n Nicolas Cage<\/strong><\/a> is also starring in a new Spider-Man TV series, Spider-Noir<\/em>, which will debut on Prime Video and MGM+ on May 27th.
