As predicted last week<\/a>, Opalite is #1 on the Hot 100 this week, giving Taylor Swift her 14th #1 single. How did she achieve this? It definitely wasn’t by stockpiling eight CD and vinyl pre-orders of Opalite for four weeks, changing the various ship dates, and then shipping all of those physical orders the same week that she dropped digital versions of four of those variants! <\/p>\n

According to Billboard, 144k physical copies of Opalite were sold\/shipped last week (aka all the CDs and vinyl variants for Opalite) with an additional 24k in digital sales. In comparison, total sales for Opalite the previous week were 7k (the week before that, Opalite sales were 2k and the week before that, they were 1.5k).<\/p>\n
