Tracy Morgan<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s mockumentary The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins<\/em> found a way to poke fun at Jennifer Lopez<\/strong><\/a> and Ben Affleck<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s marriage.<\/p>\n

During the Monday, February 23, episode of the NBC sitcom, Reggie\u2019s (Tracy Morgan<\/strong>) ex-wife, Monica (Erika Alexander<\/strong>), shared her thoughts on the documentary about her ex, telling documentarian Arthur (Daniel Radcliffe<\/strong>), \u201cWe trust you! This could work for all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Monica did, however, have one concern about the project.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just don\u2019t want us to come off like Jennifer Lopez in her documentary,\u201d she told Arthur, who replied, \u201cRight, no Ben Affleck. Good note!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe word \u201cBennifer\u201d might include flashbacks to frosted lip gloss and butterfly clips, but everything comes back in style eventually. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez got back together nearly 20 years after their romance first took the world by storm. The pair first connected in 2002 on the set of the ill-fated Gigli. Monica was referencing Lopez\u2019s 2024 music visual film <\/a>This Is Me\u2026 Now: A Love Story<\/em>, a highly stylized take on Lopez\u2019s life. It accompanied her most recent album and dove deep into her renewed relationship with Affleck, 53, in between self-help parodies and sci-fi interludes.<\/p>\n

Lopez, 56, and Affleck originally reconnected in 2021 after breaking off their 2004 engagement. The pair went on to tie the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022 and had a second ceremony the following month. Before their 2024 split, Lopez praised Affleck\u2019s help with This Is Me \u2026 Now: A Love Story<\/em>, which served as a sequel to her 2002 album This Is Me \u2026 Then<\/em> that was dedicated to Affleck<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, \u2018I don\u2019t write, I don\u2019t do this,\u2019\u201d she recalled at a February 2024 press conference. \u201cHe was like, \u2018You do, you write, you direct, you produce, you choreograph, you do all the things. Start stepping into that, start owning a little bit of who you are.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer was excited to share a glimpse of her and Affleck\u2019s love story, telling Variety at the time, \u201cI\u2019ve been on this journey, and I\u2019ve been trying to figure it out. Now I feel like because Ben and I have rediscovered each other \u2014 and now that we\u2019re married \u2014 I have something to offer. This is the defining piece of work that\u2019s going to close that chapter so I can move on to the next part of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple were first linked in the early 2000s, with Lopez confirming their engagement to Diane Sawyer in November 2002. The twosome eventually called off their wedding in early [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lopez also previously gushed over Affleck\u2019s commitment to the project.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe collaborate very well together, and nobody knows my story more than he does,\u201d she told Entertainment Tonight<\/em> in December 2023. \u201cSo we were able to kind of sit down and really dig into it, in a way that I don\u2019t think any other writer could\u2019ve done with me.\u201d<\/p>\n
