\u201cThere is no excuse for what I did. This was my failure and my responsibility alone. I know that words don\u2019t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of the hurt I\u2019ve brought into her life, but I am truly sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Sunday, meanwhile, the mother of two broke her silence on this painful development.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve wanted to come on here and say something for a while but I honestly haven\u2019t really known how to put words to any of this,\u201d Katie wrote via Instagram. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis year didn\u2019t start how I thought it would. It\u2019s been really heavy and emotional in ways I wasn\u2019t prepared for. Some days I feel okay and steady. and other days it\u2019s hard to even leave the house.\u201d<\/p>\n (Instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nIt\u2019s clear Bates is trying to remain upbeat, but it\u2019s understandably a challenge.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do want to say thank you though. The love, prayers, and messages I\u2019ve received have meant more than I can explain. I don\u2019t always know how to respond, but please know I see it and I\u2019m grateful,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
Katie went on to say that she will soon be reaching out for professional assistance.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m getting ready to attend my first four day therapy intensive. I don\u2019t really feel equipped to handle something like this on my own, so getting help feels important. I know I can\u2019t pour into anything else well if I\u2019m not actually working through this in a healthy way,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
\u201cBeing mom to Hailey and Harvey and finding little pieces of normal life again has been so grounding for me. I\u2019m not very good at expressing my emotions, so this probably feels scattered, but I\u2019m trying to lean on God and He has brought me so much comfort.\u201d<\/p>\n (Image Credit: Up TV)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nThe spouses have been married since 2021 and they welcomed kids Hailey and Harvey in 2023 and 2024, respectively. <\/p>\n
As mentioned above, before Clark admitted to infidelity, Bates revealed she recently suffered a pregnancy loss. She later took to social media to address the challenges in her personal life.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are working through this privately, seeking counsel both together and individually as we try to determine the best path forward for our family. I am also being supported by legal counsel,\u201d Bates wrote last month. \u201cThis is not a quick or easy process, and it is not one I am taking lightly. Every decision about our future will be made slowly and carefully, with what is best for our family and our children as the highest priority.\u201d<\/p>\n
On February 22, this is how she concluded her Instagram Story:<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know how much I\u2019ll share as I walk through all of this or what that will look like, but I did want to say thank you for the kindness and grace you\u2019ve shown me. It truly means a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
