Rebecca Gayheart<\/a>‘s daughters Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14, as they grow up, giving the generous donation to the fundraiser set up by Eric’s friends in the wake of his death on Thursday (19.02.26).<\/p>\nOther generous donors to the fundraiser – which has raised over $270,000 at the time of writing – include Hailey Bieber, who contributed $20,000 and producers Randall Emmett and Brad Falchuk, who each pledged $10,000.<\/p>\n
Two anonymous donors gave $18,000 and $10,000 respectively.<\/p>\n
A message on the GoFundMe page explained Eric’s illness had progressed “far more quickly” than expected.<\/p>\n
\nIt read: “Following his diagnosis, Eric became a passionate spokesperson for the ALS community, using his voice and platform to advocate for fellow patients and to push for greater awareness. <\/p>\n
\n“Even as his own health declined, he remained deeply committed to helping others facing the same devastating disease. As his illness progressed far more quickly than anyone could have imagined, Eric’s friends have come together to create this GoFundMe to support his girls and their future needs. <\/p>\n
\n“Any contribution, no matter the size, will help provide stability during this incredibly difficult time and in the future for Eric\u2019s wonderful daughters.”<\/p>\n
\nRebecca has acknowledged the fundraiser on her own Instagram Story, sharing a screenshot along with some family photos and simply writing: “Thank you to everyone.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile Sam previously paid tribute to Eric, who played Cal Jacobs in Euphoria.<\/p>\n
\nHe told Deadline: “I\u2019m heartbroken by the loss of our dear friend Eric.<\/p>\n
\nWorking with him was an honor. Being his friend was a gift. Eric\u2019s family is in our prayers. May his memory be for a blessing.”<\/p>\n
\nAn HBO spokesperson added: \u201cWe are deeply saddened by the news of Eric Dane\u2019s passing.<\/p>\n
\n“He was incredibly talented and HBO was fortunate to have worked with him on three seasons of Euphoria. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDespite his declining health, Eric had filmed scenes for the upcoming season of Euphoria before his death.<\/p>\n
