Many questions surround Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/strong>\u2019s decision to run for president<\/a> in 2024 on the Democratic ticket. Questions like, does he have any policy positions besides vaccines being bad<\/a>? And will his remarks about Anne Frank<\/a> come up on the campaign trail? But mostly, what does Larry David,<\/strong> the man who unintentionally set RFK Jr. up with his wife, Cheryl Hines,<\/strong> and is Hines\u2019s boss on Curb Your Enthusiasm,<\/em> think of all this? And horror of horrors, is he actually supporting<\/em> Kennedy\u2019s bid for office?<\/p>\n Thankfully, the answer is a resounding no,<\/em> despite what the country\u2019s leading anti-vaxxer might want people to think. Speaking to The New York Times<\/em> for a profile<\/a> of Hines, the son of Robert Kennedy and nephew of John F. Kennedy said of his campaign for the White House, \u201cI feel a lot of support and love from most of her friends, including Larry.\u201d That might lead one to believe David was backing Kennedy\u2019s candidacy, but the Curb<\/em> creator would like to disabuse people of that notion. In a text to the Times,<\/em> he wrote, \u201cYes love and support, but I\u2019m not \u2018supporting\u2019 him.\u201d<\/p>\n That probably has something to do with, among other things, the fact that Trump ally Steve Bannon<\/strong> has reportedly<\/a> been \u201csupportive of Mr. Kennedy\u2019s campaign\u201d and \u201cfloat[ed] the idea of\u00a0a Trump-Kennedy ticket,\u201d while rabid conspiracy theorist Alex Jones<\/strong> has \u201calso expressed enthusiasm.\u201d (Kennedy insisted to the Times<\/em> that he has \u201cnever spoken to Mr. Bannon or Mr. Jones about my presidential campaign.\u201d) There\u2019s also the gross fact that when asked twice by the paper of record if he would \u201creject an endorsement from Mr. Jones, who\u00a0lost a $1 billion lawsuit\u00a0for repeatedly saying the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting that killed 20 first graders and six educators in Newtown, Conn., was a government hoax,\u201d Kennedy chose not to respond.<\/p>\n Last year, Trump attorney Alan Dershowitz<\/strong> complained<\/a> to The New Yorker<\/em> that David snubbed him in a Martha\u2019s Vineyard grocery store over Dershowitz\u2019s association with the Trump administration, and when pressed, told the lawyer, \u201cYou\u2019re disgusting.\u201d So given the people apparently backing Kennedy\u2019s bid for office, it\u2019s not that surprising David would not be in favor of it.
