Saddle up! Yellowstone<\/em><\/a> is known for its family feuds, wild west antics and cowboy controversies \u2014 and the remaining season 5 episodes will continue to bring the drama.<\/p>\n \u201cLove and family and, sort of, your tribe, your people \u2014 that\u2019s a huge theme in the show,\u201d Luke Grimes<\/strong><\/a>, who plays Kayce Dutton, teased during a May 8 interview with Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWith Kayce, he has a hard time choosing his relationship with his father versus his relationship with his wife and son.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cNo Horse to Ride\u201d crooner<\/a> explained that the Dutton family turmoil fuels the series because \u201cit matters to all of the characters.\u201d<\/p>\n Grimes added: \u201cThat\u2019s sort of where you get all of this really juicy drama, is that everyone is sort of fighting for their team. There\u2019s no right team or wrong team<\/a>. It\u2019s just a bunch of people trying to figure out how to do what\u2019s best for their own.\u201d<\/p>\n The first half of Yellowstone\u2019s<\/em> final season finished airing in January, but the show was then held in limbo before Paramount confirmed on May 5 that the rest of season 5 would be the last for the western drama<\/a>. While the second part of the season was set to air in summer 2023, it was reported that production delays and alleged tension between leading man Kevin Costner<\/strong><\/a> and creator Taylor Sheridan<\/strong><\/a> has pushed the show\u2019s return back time and again.<\/p>\n After the Field of Dreams<\/em> star was accused in February of being partially to blame for filming being off schedule<\/a>. However, his lawyer, Marty Singer<\/strong>, quickly denied the allegations<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe idea that Kevin was only willing to work one week on the second half of season 5 of Yellowstone<\/em><\/a> is an absolute lie,\u201d the attorney told Puck after the magazine published an expos\u00e9 claiming his client was being difficult about the shooting plans. \u201cIt\u2019s ridiculous \u2014 and anyone suggesting it shouldn\u2019t be believed for one second.\u201d<\/p>\n The Dances With Wolves<\/em> actor<\/a>, who portrays patriarch John Dutton on the Paramount series, is \u201calso very disappointed by the delays,\u201d a source exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> on May 10<\/a>, noting that \u201cthe holdup is not coming from Kevin.\u201d<\/p>\n One month prior, several cast members attended PaleyFest in Los Angeles<\/a> and gave Us<\/em> an update on whether they had resumed filming amid the headline-making delays. (The series also stars Kelly Reilly<\/strong><\/a>, Wes Bentley<\/strong><\/a>, Cole Hauser<\/strong><\/a> and Kelsey Asbille<\/strong><\/a> as Beth Dutton, Jamie Dutton, Rip Wheeler and Monica Dutton, respectively.)<\/p>\n \u201cWe haven\u2019t started, no,\u201d Wendy Moniz<\/strong><\/a>, who plays Governor Lynelle Perry, exclusively told Us <\/em>on April 1<\/a>. \u201cWe know [Taylor] is writing and we\u2019re looking forward to getting back.\u201d<\/p>\n The Missouri native teased at the time that she was \u201calong for this ride for as long as it goes,\u201d calling Yellowstone<\/em> \u201ca dream job.\u201d<\/p>\n Mo Brings Plenty<\/strong><\/a>, on the other hand, already had an idea of how he wants his character Mo\u2019s story to end. \u201cI would want my character to end up probably giving his life to protect something traditional,\u201d he exclusively told Us<\/em> at the TV event in April.<\/p>\n While the Yellowstone<\/em> stars<\/a> \u2014 and creator \u2014 have kept the ending under wraps, Lainey Wilson<\/strong> made it clear that she wants in on the final episodes.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m waiting for that call,\u201d the country songstress told ET<\/em><\/a> on May 11, revealing she\u2019d love to reprise her role as Abby before the show\u2019s conclusion. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Y\u2019all let me know when to be there and I\u2019ll be there.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cWatermelon Moonshine\u201d singer exclusively told Us<\/em> on April 2<\/a> that she became \u201cbest buddies\u201d with Sheridan in 2018 and that bond eventually led to her part on the TV show.
