Kansas City Chiefs<\/strong><\/a> player Rashee Rice<\/strong><\/a> is facing allegations.<\/p>\n The 25-year-old wide receiver for the NFL team is being accused of domestic violence in a new lawsuit.<\/p>\n His ex, Dacoda Jones<\/strong><\/a>, filed the lawsuit in Dallas County District Court on Monday, (February 16), per People.<\/p>\n She claimed she was \u201cphysically assaulted by Defendant Rashee Rice <\/strong>at their homes located in Victory Park, Texas, and Lee\u2019s Summit, Missouri\u201d between December 2023 and July 2025.<\/p>\n She said that they left her with \u201csevere and permanent injuries,\u201d and that he \u201cgrabbed, choked, strangled, pushed, thrown, scratched, hit, and headbutted\u201d her, as well as \u201c[hitting] her with inanimate objects.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAdditionally, he has engaged in other violent and abusive behaviors towards Ms. Jones<\/strong>, including throwing objects, destroying property, punching walls, and breaking furniture, as well as locking her out in the middle of the night,\u201d the lawsuit reads, and that \u201cmany of these behaviors occurred while Ms. Jones was pregnant.\u201d<\/p>\n She is seeking at least $1 million in damages.<\/p>\n An NFL spokesperson said in response that this \u201cremains under review,\u201d via ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe club is aware [of the lawsuit] and remains in communication with the National Football League,\u201d the Chiefs added in a statement.<\/p>\n \u201cOn October 9th, 2025, well after the parties\u2019 relationship had ended, Ms. Jones<\/strong> stated under penalty of perjury in a sworn Affidavit for Non-Prosecution that \u2018Mr. Rice<\/strong> and I had a verbal argument, but he did not punch me.\u2019 We will allow the legal process to run its course and have no further comment at this time,\u201d his attorney, Sean Lindsey<\/strong>, said in a statement to ESPN.<\/p>\n Rashee <\/strong>previously pled guilty to two third-degree felonies following a March 2024 crash, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years probation.<\/p>\n There were recently a lot of headlines about teammate Patrick Mahomes<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 NFL contract being altered.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
