Former Bachelor Jake Pavelka<\/strong><\/a> is engaged!<\/p>\n The season 14 Bachelor<\/a>, 48, is set to wed his girlfriend of two years, Aimee<\/strong>, he revealed to People<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Saturday, February 14.<\/p>\n Jake and Aimee matched on dating app Bumble in January 2024. Jake popped the question to Aimee at their home in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 2025, he said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe went and had a great dinner and laughed and had champagne,\u201d Jake told People<\/em>. \u201cThen we took an Uber back to our apartment. I had rose petals on the ground and a table set up with candles. We walked in the apartment and she was like, \u2018What\u2019s going on here? Did somebody break into our apartment?\u2019 She was looking at a table trying to figure out how a candle got lit.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t<\/a><\/p>\n \n\t\t\tNot every couple survives the reality TV curse, especially in Bachelor Nation. However, that doesn\u2019t change the fact that the franchise is one of the most popular reality shows on TV. When The Bachelor first debuted in 2005, not even then-host Chris Harrison would have predicted that it would result in six different spinoffs: The [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWhen she turned around, I was down on one knee with a really pretty ring, and I asked her to marry me,\u201d Jake said. \u201cShe kind of gasped and then muttered yes. It was sweet and intimate. I definitely made the right choice keeping it private. It was a really special moment.\u201d<\/p>\n Jake admitted to having some frayed nerves before he proposed to Aimee.<\/p>\n \u201cWe live in a high-rise in Dallas, so on the way to dinner, I walked Aimee to the elevator and then I said, \u2018Oh, my gosh, I forgot something. I got to run back to the apartment real quick,\u2019\u201d the former reality star said. \u201cI frantically ripped a bag of rose petals open, I pulled the table away from the wall and set a battery-operated candle on there. I sprinkled the roses everywhere and decorated real quick, got back to the elevator and she was like, \u2018What did you forget?\u2019 I was like, \u2018I needed to get a drink of water.\u2019 I couldn\u2019t even think of a good lie.\u201d<\/p>\n The former pilot previously gushed about meeting Aimee on Bumble<\/a> in an October 2024 interview on the \u201cBen and Ashley I Almost Famous\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t
