Bad Bunny\u2019s Super Bowl halftime performance has been cleared of any broadcast violations following a review by the Federal Communications Commission.<\/p>\n

Bad Bunny headlining the Super Bowl halftime show<\/p>\n

The FCC launched its assessment after Florida Republican congressman Randy Fine sent a letter to FCC chairman Brendan Carr earlier this week, calling the performance \u201cdespicable\u201d and claiming it \u201cnever should be allowed to be shown on television again.\u201d Fine specifically objected to the lyric \u201cel perico es blanco\u201d from Bad Bunny\u2019s track NUEVAYoL, noting its reference to cocaine.<\/p>\n

While several of the artist\u2019s songs – including Tit\u00ed Me Pregunt\u00f3, Monaco, and Safaera\u2014were broadcast with edits removing references to sex acts and genitalia, the FCC ultimately found no grounds for further action. Sources told The New York Post that the agency \u201cshelved any additional scrutiny barring further evidence.\u201d<\/p>\n

US President Donald Trump<\/a> heavily criticised Bad Bunny’s show on Truth Social.<\/p>\n

He wrote: “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!<\/p>\n

\n“It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn\u2019t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence.<\/p>\n

\n“Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World. “This \u2018Show\u2019 is just a \u2018slap in the face\u2019 to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day \u2013 including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History! (sic)”<\/p>\n

\nBad Bunny, 31, took to the stage at Levi\u2019s Stadium in Santa Clara, California halfway through the Seattle Seahawks\u2019 game with the New England Patriots and performed some of his biggest hits, including Tit\u00ed Me Pregunt\u00f3, MONACO and BAILE INoLVIDABLE.<\/p>\n

\nThe artist – whose real name is Benito Antonio Mart\u00ednez Ocasio – also welcomed guest performers such as Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin onto the stage during his set, which also featured cameos from the likes of Pedro Pascal, Cardi B, Karol G and Jessica Alba.<\/p>\n

\nAfter the event, Gaga wrote on Instagram: “It was my absolute honor to be a part of Benito\u2019s halftime show.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThank you Benito for inviting me and thank you to the entire cast for welcoming me onto your stage. I wouldn\u2019t miss it for the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
