Savannah Guthrie<\/a> has been missing since February 1, and while the Pina County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) have insisted they “won’t quit” their search to find her, they know it may take some time to find out what happened.<\/p>\nPima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told the New York Times Newspaper: \u201cMaybe it\u2019s an hour from now. Maybe it\u2019s weeks or months or years from now. <\/p>\n
“But we won\u2019t quit. We\u2019re going to find Nancy. We\u2019re going to find this guy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Authorities have found DNA evidence that doesn’t belong to Nancy or “those in close contact to her” at her home.<\/p>\n
\nThe PCSD said in a statement on Friday (13.02.26): “DNA other than Nancy Guthrie\u2019s and those in close contact to her has been collected from the property.<\/p>\n
\n“Investigators are working to identify who it belongs to. We are not disclosing where that DNA was located.”<\/p>\n
\nThe FBI have also revealed “new identifying details” about a suspect in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.<\/p>\n
\nIn a statement on X, FBI Phoenix said: “Today, the FBI is increasing its reward up to $100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie and\/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.<\/p>\n
\n“New identifying details about the suspect in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie have been confirmed after a forensic analysis of the doorbell camera footage by the FBI\u2019s Operational Technology Division.<\/p>\n
\n“The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5\u20199\u201d – 5\u201910\u201d tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter \u2018Ozark Trail Hiker Pack\u2019 backpack.<\/p>\n
\n“We hope this updated description will help concentrate the public tips we are receiving. Since February 1, 2026, the FBI has collected over 13,000 tips from the public related to this case.”<\/p>\n
\nThe bureau explained that each tip they get “is reviewed for credibility, relevance, and information that can be acted upon by law enforcement”.<\/p>\n
\nThey added: “Threat Intake Examiners at the National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) and FBI personnel are supporting a 24-hour command post in which dozens of agents and investigators are assigned leads and tips to action each shift.<\/p>\n
\n“Media outlets should direct tips they receive to the FBI. Additionally, we do not comment on tips and information we receive regarding ongoing investigations.<\/p>\n
\n“Continue to submit information to the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or http:\/\/tips.fbi.gov to help us bring Nancy home.”<\/p>\n
