Madison Beer doesn’t worry about chart success<\/p>\n
\nThe 26-year-old pop star released her debut album, Life Support, back in 2021, and Madison has developed a philosophical attitude towards chart success over recent years.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Who What Wear: “I’ve kind of come to a point where I’m like, ‘I’m okay with or without it. I’m proud of the music with or without it.'”<\/p>\n
\nMadison explained that she approaches her work with an open mind, meaning that her projects often evolve over time.<\/p>\n
\nThe singer – who released her latest album, Locket, in January – said: “To me, it’s the music first always, and then everything else can fall into place after.<\/p>\n
\n“I’m really bad at creating something beforehand and sticking to it because then it starts developing, and you’re like, ‘This is not at all what I thought it was gonna be.’ So I don’t even do that anymore. I just go in, and I let it take shape. <\/p>\n
\n“At the start, I had no idea, and then once it started taking form, I could really see the aesthetic, and I could see the colours, and I could see everything just start to come to life in this cool way. But that happens when the music develops.”<\/p>\n
\nMadison previously insisted that she’s comfortable with her relative lack of chart success.<\/p>\n
\nThe brunette beauty actually considers her music career to be a success, despite her lack of accolades.<\/p>\n
\nMadison explained to the Observer newspaper: “It was definitely hard for years to detach from that ideology, but I feel so much better off now that that\u2019s not something I drive myself crazy over.<\/p>\n
\n“I don\u2019t want to diss myself here, but I haven\u2019t had No 1s, I haven\u2019t had gigantic songs \u2013 actually, that\u2019s not true, I think I have had gigantic songs, but [not] to people\u2019s criteria. I\u2019m like: if I can still sell out a tour and perform for crowds and enjoy it, then clearly I\u2019m OK.”<\/p>\n
