\nThe show sees her singing superstar character Jocelyn suffer a breakdown and get caught up in the clutches of Tedros, a modern-day cult leader played by The Weeknd, who is also the show\u2019s creator along with Sam Levinson.<\/p>\n
\nA Hollywood insider told Page Six about their fears Lily-Rose could end up being typecast in X-rated roles in the wake of the show: \u201cLily has to be protected, that is the most important thing.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAside from the fact whether \u2018The Idol\u2019 is good or merely torture porn.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnother Hollywood production source told Page Six: \u201cShe\u2019s still so young and impressionable\u2026 she says she feels empowered, but she has two men in charge (The Weeknd and Sam) telling her what to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
