Rehab Addict<\/em> host Nicole Curtis<\/strong> is speaking out after HGTV pulled all episodes of the show<\/a> from its platforms.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, February 11, RadarOnline<\/a> shared footage of Curtis, 49, using the n-word while completing a renovation project for the popular home restoration series. The slur was caught on camera but did not air when the episode was broadcast in June 2025, per RadarOnline.<\/p>\n

Warner Bros. Discovery-owned HGTV promptly nixed future episodes of Rehab Addict<\/em>, which were expected to premiere on Wednesday, and removed past episodes from HBO Max and Discovery+.<\/p>\n

\u201cHGTV was recently made aware of an offensive racial comment made during the filming of Rehab Addict. Not only is language like this hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners, and employees \u2014 it does not align with the values of HGTV,\u201d HGTV told Us Weekly<\/em> in a statement on Wednesday. \u201cAccordingly, we have removed the series from all HGTV platforms. We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of respect and inclusion across our content and our workplace.\u201d<\/p>\n

After news broke of the show\u2019s cancelation, Curtis posted to her Instagram Stories<\/a> on Wednesday, \u201cThere is more to this, but my family comes first and I need to be mom right now more than anything else. .. I will take the time to be as I\u2019ve always been with you, transparent and honest. TMZ called me as I had just turned my phone on after being at school \u2013 I said this briefly \u2013 but there is more\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

In a subsequent Instagram Story, Curtis shared a text message exchange with TMZ in which she addressed her use of the racial slur and Rehab Addict<\/em>\u2019s abrupt cancelation.<\/p>\n

\u201cRegarding HGTV, I\u2019m grateful for the 15-year journey we\u2019ve shared. It\u2019s been a meaningful chapter, but my focus isn\u2019t on my career,\u201d she wrote to a TMZ reporter. \u201cMy focus, at this moment, is rightfully on my relationships and my community \u2013 the people who truly know my character and where my heart is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curtis continued, \u201cI want to be clear: the word in question is wrong and not part of my vocabulary and never has been, and I apologize to everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs discussed, I\u2019m a mom and I was doing mom things all day and unplugged,\u201d Curtis concluded. \u201cI realize my shows were airing, but my family is my priority and I\u2019m just catching up to all this now.\u201d<\/p>\n

In resurfaced footage from the set of Rehab Addict<\/em>, published by RadarOnline on Wednesday, Curtis was filmed using the n-word while completing a renovation in Wyoming.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy? It\u2019s the last one,\u201d she said in the clip as she appeared to struggle with the renovation. \u201cOh, fart [n-word].\u201d<\/p>\n

Curtis appeared shocked by her use of the slur and asked the camera crew to delete the footage.<\/p>\n
