Cave<\/strong> to see whether they could reach an agreement without going to trial<\/p>\n While Justin, 41, attended the court-mandated conference with wife Emily<\/strong><\/a>, Blake<\/strong>, 38, was solo.<\/p>\n As they left the courthouse, Justin<\/strong>\u2018s lawyer Bryan Freedman<\/strong> told Deadline<\/a><\/em> that the settlement discussion was \u201cunsuccessful.\u201d<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>Freedman<\/strong> noted that \u201cthere\u2019s always a chance\u201d of a settlement, but added that he didn\u2019t know whether Justin<\/strong> and Blake<\/strong> would resume talks about a potential pretrial deal.<\/p>\n When asked more about the trial, which is set to begin on May 18, Freedman<\/strong> said he is \u201clooking forward to it.\u201d<\/p>\n If you didn\u2019t know, Justin<\/strong>\u2018s $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Blake<\/strong>, his co-star on the infamous film, was ended last year<\/a>. Previously, the case was dismissed<\/a> by the judge.<\/p>\n Blake<\/strong>\u2018s lawsuit alleging sexual harassment and retaliation against Justin <\/strong>remains active.<\/p>\n
