The 2023 Tony Awards<\/em><\/strong><\/a> were a big hit over the weekend!<\/p>\n

The annual award ceremony, which recognizes excellence in live Broadway theatre, brought in a big numbers, according to Variety<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The outlet reports that the CBS airing of the show was “watched by 4.3 million people” on Sunday night (June 11). With that number, it marks the most-watched telecast since 2019.<\/p>\n

In 2022, 3.9 million households tuned into the show, which marked the first-ever live coast-to-coast broadcast. <\/p>\n

Paramount+ also reported that this years’ show was also the “most live-streamed show ever, with 13% streaming growth compared to last year.”<\/p>\n

The pre-show, which aired on Pluto TV, also had bit numbers, becoming “the most-watched live event ever since the free ad-supported platform launched in 2013.”<\/p>\n
