Mama\u2019s been meddling! Married at First Sight<\/em> <\/a>season 16 cast member Domynique<\/strong> reveals that her mom signed her up for the dating series in Us Weekly<\/em>\u2019s exclusive sneak peek at the new season.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am here initially because my mom did sign me up for this, but ultimately, I did make the decision that this is something that I wanted to go through with,\u201d the 25-year-old Nashville resident tells viewers in the clip.<\/p>\n

Domynique, who will marry Mackinley<\/strong> in the upcoming season when she meets him at the altar, calls her mom during the confessional for \u201cinsight\u201d into why she didn\u2019t approve of her daughter\u2019s previous dates.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like you were ready for a relationship and they completely weren\u2019t,\u201d Dom\u2019s mom says. \u201cI think you guys would do better about picking a person for her outside of her box.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reality star, for her part, admits, \u201cI just don\u2019t feel like I have had the best luck. I don\u2019t feel like I have picked the right people.\u201d Domynique points out that because \u201cit just seems like there\u2019s a lack of commitment or maybe fear of commitment, what better way to avoid that than to go into a process, like, knowing you\u2019re going to get married<\/a>?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Lifetime personality grins at the camera before concluding, \u201cI am just looking for, like, my full-time, permanent cuddle buddy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Domynique and Mack, 33, will join four other Tennessee-based couples looking for love \u2014 and an arranged marriage \u2014 on the new season of the fan-favorite reality show, which has produced 13 successful marriages (and eight children!) since the 2014 series premiere.<\/p>\n

According to Dom\u2019s Lifetime<\/a> bio, \u201cshe is confident she is ready for marriage,\u201d despite not having extensive long-term relationships. \u201cWhen she does date, it is with the intention of settling down and finding something meaningful,\u201d the official blurb continues, noting that \u201cunfortunately, the bar scene and dating apps are not working out for her as she doubts that is where she\u2019ll meet her perfect match.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mackinley, for his part, \u201crecently moved to Nashville to pursue new career opportunities and found himself with the best opportunity of all, finding a wife,\u201d his official bio reads. \u201cHe is ready to settle down and looking to start a family. He has always put his career first, but he is now looking to build a life with his forever partner.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Dom and Mack, longtime MAFS<\/em> experts and matchmakers Dr. Pepper Schwartz<\/strong> and Pastor Cal Roberson<\/strong> will also guide newlyweds Jasmine<\/strong> and Airris<\/strong>, Kirsten<\/strong> and Shaquille<\/strong>, Gina<\/strong> and Clint<\/strong> as well as Nicole<\/strong> and Christopher<\/strong> throughout their new romances.<\/p>\n
