Sometimes the best part of an awards show isn\u2019t the show itself \u2014 it\u2019s how the audience reacts to the night\u2019s events.<\/p>\n
Plenty of stars have been caught on camera making a less-than-gracious loser\u2019s face or candidly expressing their distaste for a particular performer or joke and the meme-worthy moments<\/a> have lived on for ages in social media history.<\/p>\n At the 2020 Grammy Awards, Billie Eilish<\/strong><\/a> became the youngest person to ever<\/a> win the Grammy Award for Song of the Year and could hardly contain her surprise when her name was announced. Surrounded by family and friends in the audience, the \u201cBad Guy\u201d singer placed her hands over her mouth in full shock.<\/p>\n A few weeks later, she gave viewers another top-notch reaction GIF when she was caught cringing as Maya Rudolph<\/strong><\/a> and Kristen Wiig<\/strong><\/a> sang off-key at the 92nd annual Academy Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n One year later, awards shows were forced to make some major adjustments to their routine productions when the coronavirus pandemic put Hollywood on pause. The 78th Golden Globe Awards<\/a> took place nearly two months later than usual and hardly had any audience members attending in person as Tina Fey<\/strong><\/a> and Amy Poehler<\/strong><\/a> hosted from two separate venues. However, the unique circumstances allowed fans to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars<\/a> in their element at home.<\/p>\n Jason Sudeikis<\/strong><\/a> stole the show via Zoom while Norman Lear<\/strong> thanked the Hollywood Foreign Press Association<\/a> for honoring him with the Carol Burnett Award in February 2020. The Ted Lasso<\/em> star was hooked on Lear\u2019s every word as he tuned in virtually wearing a tie-dyed sweatshirt.<\/p>\n When the All in the Family<\/em> creator acknowledged that he was getting close to 99, Sudeikis couldn\u2019t contain his surprise. At the bottom corner of the screen, he was caught with his mouth agape, wowed by Lear\u2019s long run in Hollywood.<\/p>\n The We\u2019re the Millers<\/em> actor later accepted his own award that night for Best Actor in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy \u2014 but his speech wasn\u2019t as well-rehearsed as Lear\u2019s. Sudeikis earned a friendly \u201cwrap it up\u201d gesture from fellow nominee Don Cheadle<\/strong><\/a> as he struggled to express his gratitude to the HFPA.<\/p>\n \u201cHey, that\u2019s just Kansas City love,\u201d Sudeikis joked of the moment during a virtual press conference<\/a> after his Golden Globes win. \u201cIf anyone was going to tell me \u2026 he knew I\u2019d listen to him. That\u2019s all that is. A lot of people don\u2019t know that he\u2019s an excellent stage manager as well as an American acting icon. The guy\u2019s got chops, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n
