The 44-year-old singer toured with Brandy and Monica in 2025, and Kelly loved that Noah Jon, five, was able to see her perform for the first time.<\/p>\n
She told People: “First of all, I didn\u2019t know what to expect. They sat there watching the show with all my family, cause everybody came out, and it was so beautiful. And the first time I came to the back, Noah said, \u2018Mommy, you did so good.\u2019 And he was so happy and proud.<\/p>\n
“But it was interesting, because from my sister\u2019s perspective, he sat in her lap and she said, \u2018You should\u2019ve seen his face! He was trying to figure out why people were responding, and then he\u2019d see you, and you\u2019d laugh, and then you\u2019d go to dancing, and he was like trying to take it all in. He would be upset, and then he\u2019d be smiling.\u2019 <\/p>\n
“She was like, \u2018It was like a race of emotions.\u2019 I just thought it was really cool. I wish we would have filmed that.”<\/p>\n
\nKelly also has Titan Jewell, 11, with husband Tim Weatherspoon, and the chart-topping star confirmed that she has no intention of stopping her kids from following in her footsteps.<\/p>\n
\nThe singer explained: “You know what? If they want to. If they want to, I\u2019ll be right there to support them and to hold their hand.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Kelly previously revealed that she remains very close to her Destiny’s Child bandmates.<\/p>\n
\nThe singer observed that “female tribes are crucial to life” and Kelly explained that she remains very supportive of her showbiz pals.<\/p>\n
\nKelly – who starred in the girl group alongside Beyonce and Michelle Williams – told ELLE: “I hear so many people call it a ‘tribe’ now and it’s very true, you need your tribe.<\/p>\n
\n“So many women say, ‘oh my god, I love your relationship with the girls [Destiny’s Child]’ … and it’s because we all genuinely want to see each other be great and go after things that we’re passionate about. And if we feel like one [of us] needs a little push, we do that, whether they’re ready for it or not.<\/p>\n
\n“It’s about being there and making sure they push themselves. You have to be able to have that honesty, love and admiration for each other. I think that female tribes are crucial to life, to everything.”<\/p>\n
