Sherri Shepherd<\/strong><\/a><\/span> returned to her daytime talk show to address the news that Sherri<\/i> has been canceled<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur show has not been renewed for another season,\u201d Shepherd, 58, shared on the Monday, February 9, episode of Sherri<\/i><\/span><\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love that I have received from all of you. From the audience to everyone on social media to people who stop me in the store and still talk to me despite me not having a wig on \u2026 I feel every bit of the love that you\u2019ve been sending to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

One week earlier, production company Debmar-Mercury confirmed the news that Sherri<\/i> was canceled after four seasons<\/span><\/a>. Season 4 will continue as planned, with the show airing its final episodes in the fall.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show, its production \u2014 which has found strong creative momentum this season \u2014 or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd,\u201d Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein<\/strong> and Mort Marcus<\/strong> told Us Weekly<\/i> in a statement on February 2. \u201cWe believe in this show and in Sherri and intend to explore alternatives for it on other platforms.\u201d<\/p>\n

After recovering from COVID-19, Shepherd returned to her pink chair on Monday\u2019s episode and vowed to continue making the best possible show she can day after day.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to be clear. I\u2019m not ready to throw in the towel on this show just yet. We\u2019re going to be airing episodes all through the fall, and we\u2019re going to continue to fight to keep this show alive in some way, shape or form,\u201d she said as the studio audience erupted in applause. \u201cNow, if anybody knows me, they know I\u2019m a fighter. I don\u2019t know exactly what it\u2019s going to look like, but I promise I will continue to spread joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shepherd continued, \u201cLike your favorite auntie, I\u2019m here to make you laugh, get into your business and stay longer than you planned.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before earning her own talk show, the comedian previously served as a cohost on The View<\/i><\/span><\/a> from 2007 to 2014. She chose to step away from \u201cHot Topics\u201d table to pursue other opportunities, including her own sitcom and a Broadway role.<\/p>\n

Although she found success in a variety of jobs, Shepherd always wanted to have a home in daytime TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first started, the show was built on one thing, and what I wanted it built on was joy,\u201d she shared. \u201cThe intention of this show, my prayer was for you to leave happier than when you came. \u2026 It has been my dream to have a talk show, and I\u2019m so grateful that I had the chance to do it for four seasons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ever since news broke of Sherri<\/i> being canceled, Shepherd has received support from many familiar faces in the daytime TV space.<\/p>\n

The Real<\/i> cohost Loni Love<\/strong> previously questioned why Shepherd wasn\u2019t given the opportunity to announce the news on her own terms. As for The Talk<\/i><\/span><\/a>\u2019s Holly Robinson Peete<\/strong>, she\u2019s simply a fan.<\/p>\n
