Captain Jason Chambers<\/strong> opened up about why he thought chief stew Daisy Kelliher<\/strong> was a better fit against Ben Robinson<\/strong> \u2014 instead of alum Aesha Scott<\/strong> \u2014 during season 4 of Below Deck Down Under<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Daisy and Ben] are at it all the time. They are non stop,\u201d Jason exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cThat\u2019s why I think people like Kate Chastain was so strong. Hannah Ferrier was so strong at the start \u2014 especially with Ben. I don\u2019t know if Aesha [Scott] would have handled it [the same way].\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason noted that the Below Deck Mediterranean<\/em> star is at a different \u201cpoint in her life,\u201d<\/a> adding, \u201cShe was like, \u2018I don\u2019t need this.\u2019 Whereas Daisy came in and had so much to prove to herself that she\u2019s a great student. She\u2019s got the strength that she had to stand up and really show her dig her heels in.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cTo watch those two, I hope they show it all. Because they\u2019ll be at each other for a good two to three minutes and I\u2019m just sitting back. Then it would end with some form of sarcastic joke and there\u2019d be laughter as it walked off into the horizon. So that\u2019s what it was, \u2014 constant laughter.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Below Deck franchise has had its fair share of chaos over the years, but there were some moments that stood out more. During season 7 of the Bravo show, chief stew Kate Chastain and bosun Ashton Pienaar had a scary confrontation when the latter was drunk after a night out. Ashton ended up punching [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The official trailer for season 4 teased tension between Daisy and Ben<\/a>. The chief stew, for her part, teased to Us the outcome of her back-and-forth with Ben.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis season in the galley my big challenges [had to do with Ben],\u201d Daisy exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> ahead of the show\u2019s return earlier this season. \u201cBen is an interesting person to work with. He\u2019s really fun, he\u2019s a great personality and he\u2019s great TV. But he is definitely a challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daisy acknowledged similarities between herself and Ben.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe we\u2019re both as kind of stubborn as each other,\u201d she noted. \u201c[Our issues were] kind of all of those things. It was the guest cabin, it was the way he managed his team and the way he ran his galley. There were difficulties with communication \u2014 so timing and not envisioning service the same way. There were honestly a lot of difficulties and challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite their issues, Daisy said Ben is \u201ca hard person to stay angry at,\u201d adding, \u201cBut neither of us wanted animosity, and I think both of us really wanted to give the best for the guests. With that being our primary focus, we were always able to come back to that and be like, \u2018OK, look, we like each other. We have the same goal. How can we make this happen?’\u201d<\/p>\n

The spinoff series, which premiered in 2016, seemingly found a permanent crew member in chief stew Hannah Ferrier. The Australia native appeared in five seasons of the hit [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She continued: \u201cBut I think toward the end of the season, I was getting frustrated. We have a few flare-ups, and there\u2019s definitely some arguments there. It\u2019s difficult because I was trying to do a good job \u2014 as he was. Everything was honestly a challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n
