Meghan McCain <\/strong><\/a>is not holding back when it comes to sharing her opinion on why she thinks the axe fell on several daytime talk shows this week.<\/p>\n

Taking to social media<\/a> on Friday, February 6, McCain, 41, claimed the canceled shows weren\u2019t interesting enough to remain on air.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason all these daytime talk shows are being canceled is because they are sublimely boring and all the hosts want to be loved,\u201d\u00a0 McCain, who previouslu cohosted talk shows The View<\/em> and Outnumbered<\/em>, wrote via X.<\/p>\n

McCain said Wendy Williams<\/strong>, who hosted The Wendy Williams Show<\/em>, which aired from 2011 until 2022,\u00a0 as well as appearing on The View,<\/em> was a much more interesting option in the past because of her willingness to be outspoken.<\/p>\n

I am completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for me and The @sherrishowtv,\u201d Shepherd, 58, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, February 3. \u201cYou might\u2019ve noticed that yesterday and today I was struggling because I wasn\u2019t feeling up to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWendy Williams was the GOAT because she said the quiet things we all were thinking out loud. She was messy, raw, real and wildly entertaining,\u201d McCain continued.<\/p>\n

While McCain did not namecheck a specific show or host in her post, Kelly Clarkson<\/strong> and Sherri Shepard<\/strong> both announced this week that their respective talk shows would not be continuing past the current season.<\/p>\n

Clarkson, 43, shared on Monday, February 2, that her eponymous show will come to an end after its seventh season<\/a> which is currently on air.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em>, both in Los Angeles and New York,\u201d Clarkson said in a statement to Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cThere have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cBecause of all of that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em>. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the show\u2019s axing, Clarkson insisted that \u201cthis isn\u2019t goodbye\u201d and shared that she will be still making music and making appearances on The Voice.<\/p>\n
