Adam\u2019s sister was the only member of his immediate family who attended his wedding to Gordon and Tana Ramsay\u2019s daughter Holly Ramsay Peaty in December but Hells Kitchen star Gordon, 59, has insisted his family and Adam have done nothing wrong.<\/p>\n
He told the Daily Mail: \u201cIt\u2019s just upsetting. It\u2019s all self-inflicted from their side, because we\u2019ve done nothing \u2013 none of what you\u2019ve read: no rudeness, no ignorance \u2013 we welcomed them.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe sent a chauffeur-driven car for them to come to the engagement party and treated them like royalty.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo to get that barrage of press was very hurtful. Tana took it very seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnd, Gordon insisted it was Holly, 26, and 31-year-old Adam\u2019s decision to keep his parents away from the wedding.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cIt was Adam and Holly\u2019s wishes for them not to attend and so we had to respect that. There\u2019s stuff they need to sort out as parents.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThat\u2019s nothing to do with Tana and me.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut we are very mindful we want to move on and allow Holly and Adam to continue starting their lives together.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHowever, he would like to end the feud between the families for the sake of their kids.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI would like to go up to Nottingham with Tana and see them and draw a line in the sand.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTana, 51, added: \u201cWe\u2019ve had fallouts within my family, there are no winners.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m so grateful we got through mine and have happy relationships again.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou don\u2019t have to be best friends, but be civil.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou can\u2019t be happy when there\u2019s a fallout going on. It\u2019s really negative, and no one wants that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe feud exploded in November when it was claimed Adam\u2019s mother Caroline, 60, was not invited to Holly\u2019s hen party.<\/p>\n
\nAdam later took to Instagram to claim that he, Holly and his sister Bethany had been \u201ctargeted\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nHe wrote: “Over the past few days, a lot has been reported and comments posted about the private life of Holly and myself. My sister Bethany has also been targeted.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThis has been almost entirely one-sided and, in many cases, excessive and intrusive. It has been deeply hurtful and upsetting to read, especially given the false basis upon which we have been targeted. What makes it worse is that it has been encouraged by members of my family.<\/p>\n
\n“Bethany, Holly and myself cannot go into detail given an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that arose long before recent events. For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place.”<\/p>\n
