\t\t<\/p>\n Get ready for more Gossip Girl<\/strong><\/a><\/em>!<\/p>\n More than 20 years after the original Gossip Girl<\/em> book series was released in 2002, it has been revealed that author Cecily von Ziegesar<\/strong> is continuing the series with a new standalone book centered around Blair Waldorf.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>Titled Blair<\/em>, the new book is set 20 years after the original bestselling book series, according to Deadline<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n While plot details are being kept under wraps, the book is expected to follow the \u201cformer NYC socialite as she returns to the Big Apple to climb her way back to the top of Upper East Side food chain.\u201d<\/p>\n As of right now, the publishing date for Blair<\/em> is tentatively set for Summer 2027.<\/p>\n The Blair in the book series somewhat different from the character in the hit CW series, in which Leighton Meester<\/strong><\/a> played the character. In the TV show, Blair ended up with Chuck Bass (played by Ed Westwick<\/strong><\/a>), while in the books, Blair is largely in a romantic relationship with Nate Archibald (played by Chase Crawford<\/strong><\/a> in the show).<\/p>\n In an interview from 2022, Leighton<\/strong> addressed the possibility of playing Blair again<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
