For instance, original RHOA star NeNe Leakes left the show in season 7 before rejoining the cast in 2018. \u201cIt\u2019s been a long process but we\u2019ve finally reached [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cIt made me nervous when we talked about it,\u201d Da Brat acknowledged on Tuesday, before Judy revealed other reasons her spouse turned any offer down.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy wife is a convicted felon,\u201d Judy said, referring to Da Brat\u2019s 2007 conviction for felony aggravated assault that resulted in a three-year prison sentence and probation. \u201cSo, the conversation [is that] she doesn\u2019t necessarily want to do what\u2019s considered \u2018ensemble cast.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Da Brat and Judy, meanwhile, are no strangers to reality TV after chronicling moments of their daily lives on Brat Loves Judy <\/i>from 2021 to 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n\u201cWe\u2019ve told so much of our story on our reality show, Brat Loves Judy<\/i>,\u201d Da Brat told Us. <\/i>\u201cI think we might revisit it. It just depends on what the world is doing because there\u2019s so much going on in the world, and film and TV is doing something weird right now as well, you know, and you know, we don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen so, but if we get the opportunity to do it later when [our 2-year-old son] is a bit older, we might dive into it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n![\"Da-Brat-GettyImages-2219421552\"](\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Da-Brat-GettyImages-2219421552.jpg?w=1000&quality=40&strip=all\")

Da Brat and Judy reflected on their respective pasts in the book \u2014 \u201cno holds barred.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe started together, but then immediately realized we needed to do our part separately. And then eventually we came back together for other parts,\u201d Judy explained. \u201cBut yeah, she had her time, I had my time, and then we had to have some time together. But we started, it was like, \u2018I don\u2019t think this would be good.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
