Suits<\/em><\/a> star Gina Torres<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 home was burglarized, with over $200,000 in cash and jewelry reported stolen, per multiple reports.<\/p>\n

The actress\u2019 home in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles was targeted by thieves last week, the Los Angeles Police Department told NBC4 Los Angeles<\/a> and Page Six<\/em><\/a> on Monday, February 2. The police department said that the perpetrators looted $225,000 in cash and jewelry.<\/p>\n

The LAPD responded to a burglary scene on Friday, January 30, and discovered windows smashed, per NBC. A neighbor reportedly saw two men leaving Torres\u2019 home and loading bags into a car.<\/p>\n

Torres, 56, was not home at the time of the incident. The LAPD have not made any arrests and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSuits found a dedicated fanbase when it first aired \u2014 but its Netflix debut has made the legal drama even more popular. The USA series, which originally ran for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019, stars Patrick J. Adams as Mike Ross, a man who convinced a New York City law firm to give him [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to both the LAPD and Torres\u2019 representative for comment.<\/p>\n

Torres is best known for playing lawyer Jessica Pearson in Suits<\/em>, starring alongside Gabriel Macht<\/strong>, Patrick J. Adams<\/strong> and Meghan Markle<\/strong> for the show\u2019s first seven seasons. She later starred in a short-lived spinoff, Pearson<\/em>, which was canceled after just one season in 2019. (A second spinoff on NBC, Suits LA<\/em><\/a>, was similarly canceled after one season in 2025.)<\/p>\n

Suits<\/em> saw a resurgence in popularity after being added to Netflix in 2023. The show originally aired from 2011 to 2019 on the USA Network.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what to make of it, honestly,\u201d Torres told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> of the show\u2019s renewed popularity in February 2025. \u201cIt has gotten harder to walk through airports, that much I can tell you, for sure. I think it is indicative of what a great show it was. It taps into a kind of aspirational drive that we all have for ourselves and maybe a future that we see for ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJordin Althaus\/NBC Suits and Suits LA might have the same premise, but they are drastically different shows at their core. That being said, there are some similarities between the two. The spinoff series \u2014 which premiered on Sunday, February 23 \u2014 introduced fans to Stephen Amell\u2019s Ted Black, a hotshot lawyer who has his own [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cTo be that impossibly witty, that impossibly well-dressed, and that impossibly good-looking all the time, is impossible. But why the hell not try? Why the hell not?\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Torres, who went on to star in Fox\u2019s 9-1-1: Lone Star<\/em><\/a>, also reflected on her character\u2019s spinoff show, which she executive produced.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is something I pitched; it is something I was heavily involved in creating. I\u2019m very proud of it. I\u2019m very proud of what we were able to do,\u201d she said. \u201cI will say it is the show I wanted to make.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI wish we had had more time,\u201d she added of the show\u2019s cancellation. \u201cI wish we\u2019d had more time to tell more stories, to dive a little bit deeper into that world, because I had often said that whereas Suits<\/em> was about the top 5 percent, I wanted Pearson<\/em> to be about everybody else. And I believe that we were able to accomplish that in a really special way.\u201d<\/p>\n
