Below Deck Down Under<\/em><\/a>\u2018s Daisy Kelliher<\/strong> called Ben Robinson<\/strong> out for living in the guest cabins \u2014 but was the chef actually allowed to reside there?<\/p>\n

\u201cThis season in the galley my big challenges [had to do with Ben],\u201d Daisy exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> ahead of the show\u2019s return on Monday, February 2. \u201cBen is an interesting person to work with. He\u2019s really fun, he\u2019s a great personality and he\u2019s great TV. But he is definitely a challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daisy acknowledged similarities between herself and Ben.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe we\u2019re both as kind of stubborn as each other,\u201d she noted. \u201c[Our issues were] kind of all of those things. It was the guest cabin, it was the way he managed his team and the way he ran his galley. There were difficulties with communication \u2014 so timing and not envisioning service the same way. There were honestly a lot of difficulties and challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tViewers have had a front row seat to some of the biggest reality TV feuds since the Below Deck franchise debuted. The show\u2019s spinoff series Below Deck Mediterranean shocked viewers when Hannah Ferrier and Captain Sandy Yawn\u2018s inability to see eye to eye turned into the most memorable firing to date. Since the captain joined [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Despite their issues, Daisy said Ben is \u201ca hard person to stay angry at,\u201d adding, \u201cBut neither of us wanted animosity, and I think both of us really wanted to give the best for the guests. With that being our primary focus, we were always able to come back to that and be like, \u2018OK, look, we like each other. We have the same goal. How can we make this happen?’\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cBut I think toward the end of the season, I was getting frustrated. We have a few flare-ups, and there\u2019s definitely some arguments there. It\u2019s difficult because I was trying to do a good job \u2014 as he was. Everything was honestly a challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

The season 4 trailer surprised viewers because of Daisy accusing Ben of \u201cliving in the guest cabins.\u201d While speaking to Us<\/em>, she clarified the issue, saying, \u201cIt was basically every night off. He didn\u2019t move in, but he moves in basically every night off.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daisy recalled having to \u201cpick\u201d her battles with Ben.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI let it go. Even [Captain] Jason [Chambers] is like, \u2018Let it go and pick your battles.\u2019 There were so many other things going on. It felt like this was a small thing to kind of argue, but I guess I just wouldn\u2019t let it go and he wouldn\u2019t let it go,\u201d she continued. \u201cHe takes a guest robe, but he\u2019s doing it to annoy me and he makes it his own. As you\u2019ll see throughout the season, he wears it all over the boat to wind me up. So, of course, I can\u2019t let it go. I think he was doing stuff to push my buttons throughout the season.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Below Deck franchise has had its fair share of chaos over the years, but there were some moments that stood out more. During season 7 of the Bravo show, chief stew Kate Chastain and bosun Ashton Pienaar had a scary confrontation when the latter was drunk after a night out. Ashton ended up punching [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The chief stew previously teased to Us<\/em> the outcome of her back-and-forth<\/a> with Ben.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went into the season taking no prisoners. I knew what I wanted. I didn\u2019t want to be taken a fool, so I very much came in with that mindset,\u201d Daisy teased in November 2025. \u201cBen challenged me and he\u2019s not easy to work with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daisy praised her time with Ben despite the challenges, which she told Us<\/em> ultimately led to an amicable relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he also respected me. So, I think I really evolved as a chief stew and as a person \u2014 and it wasn\u2019t easy. I don\u2019t like confrontation, but I need it. I was so sure about what I wanted to achieve,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cI was like, \u2018I am not letting any crew member get in the way of what I\u2019m trying to do this season.\u2019 We clash and it\u2019s work [drama]. Now, I was drinking with him at the bar.\u201d<\/p>\n
