The 68th edition of the awards show, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 1, honored the best music released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025. Kendrick Lamar led the pack with nine nominations, while Lady [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
He continued, \u201cYou know, I\u2019m a dumb redneck, like, I haven\u2019t watched enough. I didn\u2019t have a phone for 18 months.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jelly Roll went on to admit, \u201cI\u2019m so disconnected from what\u2019s happening.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI grew up in a house of, like, insane pandemonium. Like, I didn\u2019t even know politics were f***ing real until I was in my mid-20s in jail,\u201d the \u201cSon of a Sinner\u201d singer said. \u201cLike, that\u2019s how disconnected [you are] when you grew up in a drug addict household. You think we, like, had common calls about what\u2019s happening in rural politics? Like, we\u2019re just trying to find a way to survive, man, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jelly Roll said that he \u201cdoes have a lot to say,\u201d however, and would share his views in the coming week.<\/p>\n

As well as Best Contemporary Country Album, Jelly Roll also took home Best Country Duo\/Group Performance for \u201cAmen\u201d with Shaboozey<\/strong> and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance\/Song for featuring on Brandon Lake<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cHard Fought Hallelujah.\u201d<\/p>\nWhile accepting the award for Best Contemporary Country Album, Jelly Roll became emotional as he gave a shout-out to his wife, Bunnie Xo<\/strong><\/a>, with whom he earlier posed on the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\u201cFirst of all, Jesus, I hear you, and I\u2019m listening. Lord, I am listening. Lord,\u201d he said. \u201cSecond of all, I want to thank my beautiful wife. I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail.
