\t\t<\/p>\n Blake Shelton<\/strong><\/a> says that he and his wife, Gwen Stefani<\/strong><\/a>, are getting competitive as they gear up for a string of competing performances in Las Vegas later this year. <\/p>\n After the country superstar kicked off his Blake Shelton: Live in Las Vegas<\/em> residency<\/a> at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on January 15, he announced an extended run with eight new dates in May. <\/p>\n However, six of his shows are happening the same days that Gwen<\/strong> is reuniting with her No Doubt<\/strong><\/a> bandmates for a residency at The Sphere<\/a>. <\/p>\n In a new interview, Blake<\/strong> said that the competition was going to be \u201cnot very friendly\u201d between him and his pop star wife. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019ll be interesting because I\u2019ll be in direct competition with my wife,\u201d he admitted to PEOPLE<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m excited about that because I know there\u2019ll be probably a little bit of trash talking.\u201d<\/p>\n Blake<\/strong> acknowledged that there\u2019s a big difference between him and Gwen<\/strong> selling out their shows, since The Sphere has a capacity of 20,000, compared to The Colosseum, which is designed for around 4,000 attendees. <\/p>\n He joked that Gwen<\/strong> would have the size of the venue \u201cover [his] head.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cYeah, it\u2019s not very friendly when it\u2019s absolute ass-kicking,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n The hitmaker\u2019s upcoming performance dates are May 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 21, 24, 2026.
