Sydney Sweeney has opened up on falling in love<\/p>\n
\nThe 28-year-old actress – who has been rumoured to be in a relationship with music manager Scooter Braun – has played down speculation about her relationships, but opened up about what romantic love feels like for her.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Cosmopolitan magazine: “Like freedom. You know in The Princess Diaries when Anne Hathaway says that when she kisses the guy she knows she\u2019s supposed to be with, her foot will flip up?<\/p>\n
\n“That\u2019s what love feels like. The lights will magically turn on. The birds will start flying. The fountains start shooting water. “Love is a Disney movie.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Euphoria star admitted she finds it “really funny” to read various rumours about her love life.<\/p>\n
\nShe quipped: “I wake up and I find out I\u2019m dating a different guy anytime I stand in a room where there\u2019s a single man.”<\/p>\n
\nShe previously got engaged to Jonathan Davino in 2022 before they split in 2025 after seven and a half years together, and she made sure to “never talk about it” to keep their relationship under wraps.<\/p>\n
\nShe explained: “I understand that I\u2019m a public person, but I\u2019m still in my 20s. I\u2019m still figuring out love, and it\u2019s hard to do that with millions of people who have their own opinions of what that looks like.<\/p>\n
\n“At the same time, for all of my 20s, I put my head down and focused on work \u2014 and now I want to experience things. But it\u2019s hard deciding that I want to experience love in the public eye. I\u2019m just navigating it all.”<\/p>\n
\nSydney had “never dated before”, and she insisted being famous causes its own issues with finding a partner following her breakup<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “I\u2019ve never dated before. I\u2019ve never even used a dating app. My friends who aren\u2019t in the industry are like, ‘We\u2019ll just go out and meet someone.’<\/p>\n
\n“But I can\u2019t just meet someone at a bar. It doesn\u2019t work like that.”<\/p>\n
