Kristin Davis<\/strong> <\/a>opened up about how difficult it is to be ridiculed for both aging and taking steps to fight the process.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s hard to be confronted with your younger self at all times,\u201d the And Just Like That<\/em> <\/a>star, 58, told The Telegraph<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Friday, June 9.<\/p>\n Davis starred as Charlotte York-Goldenblatt in six seasons of Sex and the City<\/em><\/a>, which has remained in the pop culture zeitgeist since it premiered 25 years ago. While syndication has its perks, being constantly reminded of how she looked in her 30s was tough on Davis\u2019 self-esteem as the years went on.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a challenge to remember that you don\u2019t have to look like that,\u201d she added. \u201cThe internet wants you to \u2014 but they also don\u2019t want you to. They\u2019re very conflicted.\u201d<\/p>\n The Holiday in the Wild<\/em> star opened up about plastic surgery. She said she tried various facial fillers to fight wrinkles and signs of aging.<\/p>\n \u201cI have done fillers and it\u2019s been good, and I\u2019ve done fillers and it\u2019s been bad,\u201d the actress explained. \u201cI\u2019ve had to get them dissolved and I\u2019ve been ridiculed relentlessly. And I have shed tears about it. It\u2019s very stressful.\u201d<\/p>\n Davis noted that critics blamed her for fillers that didn\u2019t look good, despite the results being the handiwork of a doctor. \u201cPeople personally blame us when it goes wrong,\u201d she lamented.<\/p>\n She revealed that having honest friends is another important factor. \u201cNo one told me it didn\u2019t look good for the longest time,\u201d she revealed. \u201cBut luckily I do have good friends who did say eventually.\u201d<\/p>\n Davis isn\u2019t the only SATC<\/em> cast member who has opened up about plastic surgery. Kim Cattrall<\/strong><\/a>, who played Samantha Jones<\/a> on the original HBO series, told Daily Mail<\/em> in April 2011 that she wanted to \u201cembrace aging because I think that\u2019s what\u2019s interesting.\u201d She added at the time: \u201cI think a forehead without any lines doesn\u2019t tell me they\u2019ve lived a life.\u201d<\/p>\n However, the actress, 66, clarified her stance in an interview with the U.K.\u2019s Sunday Times<\/em> <\/a>earlier this month. \u201cI probably said that in my 40s! I\u2019m in my 60s now and I\u2019m all about battling aging in every way I can,\u201d Cattrall declared.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are so many other alternatives now, treatments that stimulate your own body to fight aging. There are fillers, Botox, there\u2019s so many different things that you can investigate and try and see if it\u2019s for you,\u201d she continued. \u201cBut yes, if you have the money and, more importantly, the right surgeon. \u2026 It can\u2019t be emphasized enough.
