Bronwyn Newport<\/strong><\/a> is opening up for the first time about her separation from husband Todd Bradley<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/em><\/a> star, 40, told People<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Tuesday, January 27, that despite announcing her split from Bradley in December 2025, the exes are still living together.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe might be the only people in the world who don\u2019t have young children who are nesting, but we\u2019re doing it for our dogs,\u201d said Newport, referring to the couple\u2019s five boxers: Douglas, Zoe, Remy, Petey and Freddie. (Newport has a daughter, Gwen<\/strong>, 20, from a previous relationship.)<\/p>\n

Newport announced her separation<\/a> from the tech executive after nine years of marriage in a statement to People<\/em> last month.<\/p>\n

Newport\u2019s representative told People on Friday, December 12, that \u201cafter thoughtful consideration, Bronwyn Newport and Todd Bradley have separated.\u201d \u201cThis was a mutual decision made with care and respect for one another. \u201cThis was a mutual decision made with care and respect for one another. They ask for privacy during this time,\u201d the Bravolebrity\u2019s rep added.<\/p>\n

In her People<\/em> interview, Newport admitted that she still has feelings for Bradley, 66, and is hopeful for an amicable split.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really care about Todd. That\u2019s not something that turns off overnight. I want the very best for him. I really do want to be best friends with Todd,\u201d she said. \u201cI think as we\u2019ve gotten closer to that in the last few weeks, there\u2019s a lot more of that old happiness and joy for both of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not happy. This is not what I wanted. It\u2019s not where I hoped for us to be going. But from where we are, I can see wonderful things for both of us,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

In fact, Newport said that she would one day like to go on a double date with Bradley and their respective future partners.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would love to go out with Todd and somebody new for him in the future. I would terrorize whoever he dates and it would just be so funny for me. It\u2019s amazing. I\u2019d have all kinds of opinions on it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Newport explained that she knew the couple\u2019s marriage was coming to an end while watching back RHOSLC<\/em> season 6, which premiered in September 2025 and documented some of the cracks in their marriage. (In one episode, Newport opened up about allegations that Bradley was spotted looking at photos of other women<\/a> while on a flight from Salt Lake City to New York.)<\/p>\n

The reality star said the show \u201cbrought out a weird dynamic\u201d between them, adding, \u201cThe cameras didn\u2019t create our problems.\u201d<\/p>\n

Watching the issues in her marriage play out on screen was \u201creally eye-opening,\u201d said Newport.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t like how needy I was, and I didn\u2019t like how upset or defensive I was. It wasn\u2019t a relationship that I felt like I wanted to be going forward with anymore,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
