Mel C is sharing she\u2019s grateful she raised her daughter away from the spotlight<\/p>\n
In an interview with the Sunday Times, she reveals that her teenage daughter has no plans to follow into her footsteps in the music industry.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo relieved!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so hard to be in the shadow of a parent who\u2019s had success,\u201d she continued. \u201cThe thing is, with Scarlett, she\u2019s not in the public eye. I made that conscious decision when she was a baby.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously I have friends who handle it very differently, each to their own, no judgment at all,\u201d she said. \u201cBut for me, probably because of my experiences with fame, I didn\u2019t feel comfortable making that decision for her.\u201d
