\t\t<\/p>\n Heated Rivalry<\/strong><\/a><\/em> season two is still a ways away, likely at least a full year from now. <\/p>\n However, an executive at Bell Media, the Canadian company that owns streamer Crave<\/strong><\/a> where the show was made, is speaking out about the possibility of a standalone episode before then! <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n In a newly released interview about the hit show, Bell Media\u2019s vice-president of content development and programming Justin Stockman<\/strong> said they would love to do a standalone ep or special if creator Jacob Tierney<\/strong><\/a> could work that out. <\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re going to see what\u2019s feasible. If [Jacob<\/strong>] can find a way to make the source material work in a way that gets us something sooner or something special, I\u2019m sure he will,\u201d Justin<\/strong> told Toronto Star<\/a><\/em>. \u201cI would love to have this back for the holidays next year, but that likely is not going to happen. We can\u2019t rush the process. We won\u2019t be able to repeat the magic if we push him.\u201d<\/p>\n Many fans have reacted to this news with the hopes of the \u201cHeated Rivalry\u201d book\u2019s \u201cepilogue prologue,\u201d as author Rachel Reid<\/strong><\/a> describes it, being adapted for the special, standalone episode. <\/p>\n In that portion of the book, which is at the end after the prologue, Shane and Ilya host a dinner at Shane\u2019s house with his teammate and best friend Hayden Pike and his wife Jackie. It takes place three weeks before the epilogue.
