RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/strong><\/a><\/em> season 18 contestant Briar Blush<\/strong> is opening up about that scary moment when she passed out mid-judging on the runway.<\/p>\n When Briar<\/strong> went down in the episode, right in the middle of judge Law Roach<\/strong><\/a> doling out his criticism, her sisters tried to revive her and a medic was called. Now she is ready to talk about what happened.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n She told Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/em> that it was the first time she\u2019s fainted. Briar<\/strong> remembered Michelle Visage<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s critiques, but then halfway through Law<\/strong>\u2018s she \u201cstarted getting warm in the head.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI blinked, and thought Juicy Love Dion<\/strong> was just looking at me sideways. I didn\u2019t realize I was on the ground. I was mad for a second. I looked around and saw queens on stools and Ru<\/strong><\/a> screaming for medics. I didn\u2019t realize I\u2019d fainted,\u201d the reality star explained.<\/p>\n But things took a scarier turn after the show when she went to the doctor and got diagnosed with pneumonia, and later, sepsis.<\/p>\n \u201cI was told I had walking pneumonia for weeks, which later turned into sepsis,\u201d Briar<\/strong> recalled. \u201cThe pneumonia happened during the show, sepsis happened after the show. I got very sick after filming. Athena [Dion]<\/strong> told me I looked worse, so I went back to the doctor and ended up having sepsis.\u201d<\/p>\n She claims that she was treated \u201cfor the wrong kind of pneumonia,\u201d so she wasn\u2019t improving. <\/p>\n \u201cI think the first doctor I saw was kind of a quack. I went back to the doctor because I felt worse. It started feeling kind of grim. When I went back, it became more dire. I was in the hospital with sepsis,\u201d Briar<\/strong> clarified.<\/p>\n Thankfully, after a brief hospital stay, she is doing better, though she did damage her left lung.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you\u2019re sick that long, it can cause lasting damage to the lungs.
