Lehman<\/strong>, accused the \u201cHappy\u201d singer of self-dealing, concealing material information, and diverting revenue that was owed to the plaintiff, among other things.<\/p>\n \u201cSuch willful, fraudulent, and malicious conduct warrants the imposition of punitive damages,\u201d wrote Lehman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n According to the outlet, Chad<\/strong> previously filed an action accusing Pharrell<\/strong> of \u201cfraudulently\u201d seeking control over the \u201cNeptunes\u201d name, a dispute that is still pending.<\/p>\n The new lawsuit significantly expands the dispute, with Chad<\/strong> alleging that Pharrell<\/strong> withheld royalties and refused to provide records needed to determine what he\u2019s owed, conduct his lawyers describe as a \u201csystemic denial\u201d of his partnership rights. <\/p>\n The filing claims Chad<\/strong> could be owed up to $1 million in damages from N.E.R.D.\u2019s 2017 album No One Ever Really Dies<\/em>.<\/p>\n
