(Hooray!) Below, we\u2019ve collected a comprehensive list of every film nominated at this year\u2019s Academy Awards. Some are still available to watch in a theater near you; others are streaming on Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, or various other platforms. The ceremony\u2019s not until March 15, so you have plenty of time to catch up. Just don\u2019t wait too long, because there <em>will<\/em> be a test.<\/p>\n<h2><em><strong>The Alabama Solution<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">In <em>The Alabama Solution,<\/em> shot largely on cell phones smuggled into a prison by its inmates, <em>The Jinx<\/em> filmmaker <strong>Andrew Jarecki<\/strong> and co-director <strong>Charlotte Kauffman<\/strong> investigate systemic issues at Easterling Correctional Facility. This best documentary feature nominee, now streaming on HBO Max and Hulu with certain bundles, focuses on the sudden death of Steven Davis, an incarcerated man who was beaten to death by prison guards. His mother, <strong>Sandy Ray,<\/strong> seeks answers about her son\u2019s death alongside other prison reform advocates who appear in the doc. \u2014<em>Savannah Walsh<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>Arco<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Animated movies aren\u2019t just for kids\u2014but <em>Arco,<\/em> nominated at the Oscars for best animated feature, is a particularly strong case study. The film, which is recommended for eight-year-olds and up, has all the hallmarks of a hopeful, thought-provoking film that will connect with a broad audience: Time travel! Robots! A kid who is Our Only Hope! What it also has is a starry voice cast, and even a boldface producer in <strong>Natalie Portman.<\/strong> <strong>Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Flea, Mark Ruffalo,<\/strong> and <strong>Andy Samberg<\/strong> lent their vocal talents to the movie, which premiered at Cannes and scooped up best animated feature (as well as a best-picture nomination) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/story\/european-film-awards-winners-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at the European Film Awards in January<\/a>. <em>Arco<\/em> is still playing in theaters, but is also available for digital preorder on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video. <em>\u2014Kase Wickman<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>Avatar: Fire and Ash<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Don\u2019t put <strong>James Cameron<\/strong> in a corner. <em>Avatar: Fire and Ash,<\/em> the third film in the legendary auteur\u2019s <em>Avatar<\/em> franchise\u2014starring last year\u2019s best-supporting-actress winner for <em>Emilia P\u00e9rez<\/em> <strong>Zoe Salda\u00f1a<\/strong>\u2014made over a billion dollars at the box office (and counting), and also scored two Oscar nominations: one for best visual effects, the other, a somewhat surprise nomination for best costume design for <strong>Deborah L. Scott.<\/strong> If you haven\u2019t kept up with the Navi lately, then you\u2019re going to have to make your way to your nearest cineplex: <em>Avatar: Fire and Ash<\/em> is not yet available on any streaming platforms. \u2014<em>Chris Murphy<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>Blue Moon<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Lorenz Hart got the last laugh after all. <strong>Richard Linklater<\/strong>\u2019s ode to the famed yet troubled Broadway lyricist picked up two nominations: a best original screenplay nod for writer <strong>Robert Kaplow,<\/strong> and one for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/story\/ethan-hawke-blue-moon-interview?srsltid=AfmBOopTbu5EoBkajGDujOZV6ZlZqMCv0K06VwFb1SQR4sr3btboc8CA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lead actor <strong>Ethan Hawke<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong> It\u2019s Hawke\u2019s fifth career nomination, but, shockingly, his first in the lead actor category. (He has two supporting actor nominations for <em>Training Day<\/em> and <em>Boyhood,<\/em> and two screenplay nominations for <em>Before Sunset<\/em> and <em>Before Midnight<\/em>). <em>Blue Moon,<\/em> which made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/story\/best-movies-2025?srsltid=AfmBOortrwmDvh-0voigCBMiz6BVqjoxGcVrW_784J0npNkNqMeKN9Od\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Vanity Fair<\/em>\u2019s best movies of 2025 list<\/a>, is in theaters and available to stream on Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. \u2014<em>C.M.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>Bugonia<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Playing a pharmaceutical executive kidnapped by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/story\/jesse-plemons-bugonia-telluride\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a conspiracy-addled beekeeper<\/a> (<strong>Jesse Plemons<\/strong>), best-actress nominee <strong>Emma Stone<\/strong> continues <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/video\/watch\/the-definitive-interview-every-yorgos-lanthimos-movie-explained-by-yorgos-lanthimos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">her long-running and fruitful collaboration<\/a> with director <strong>Yorgos Lanthimos<\/strong> in <em>Bugonia,<\/em> which is also up for best picture. Screenwriter <strong>Will Tracy<\/strong> (a <em>Vanity Fair<\/em> alum!) was nominated for best adapted screenplay for his work on this social satire, a remake of the 2003 South Korean black comedy <em>Save the Green Planet.<\/em> British composer <strong>Jerskin Fendrix,<\/strong> who also got <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/oscars-predictions-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an Oscar nod<\/a> for his work on Lanthimos\u2019s best picture\u2013winning <em>Poor Things,<\/em> snagged another nomination for his grandiose and creepy synthesizer-laden score. <em>Bugonia<\/em> is streaming on Peacock and Prime Video, and is available for rent on Apple TV and YouTube. \u2014<em>Erin Vanderhoof<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>Come See Me in the Good Light<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">With this surprise best documentary feature nomination, standup comic <strong>Tig Notaro<\/strong> becomes a first-time Oscar nominee in her role as producer on the film, now streaming on AppleTV. <em>Come See Me in the Good Light<\/em> tells the story of two poets in love, Andrea Gibson and <strong>Megan Falley,<\/strong> as the former battles incurable ovarian cancer. Singer-songwriters <strong>Sara Bareilles<\/strong> and <strong>Brandi Carlile,<\/strong> who also serve as executive producers on the doc, were also short-listed, though not nominated, in the best original song category for cowriting the song \u201cSalt Then Sour Then Sweet\u201d with Gibson before her passing. \u2014<em>S.W.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>Cutting Through Rocks<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\"><strong>Sara Khaki<\/strong> and <strong>Mohammadreza Eyni<\/strong> co-directed this documentary feature, which follows Iranian <strong>Sara Shahverdi<\/strong> as she becomes the first woman elected to her small, rural village\u2019s council. Shahverdi rejects traditional garb and rides around the countryside on a motorcycle as she tries to convince a generation of young women to continue their education. Executive produced by a team that includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/2017\/05\/sheila-nevins-hbo-you-dont-look-your-age\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">documentary legend <strong>Shelia Nevins<\/strong><\/a><strong>,<\/strong> this timely film about women struggling for freedom in a patriarchal society won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last year. The movie isn\u2019t currently streaming, but that could change now that it has gotten an Oscar nod. \u2014<em>E.V.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>Diane Warren: Relentless<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Legendary singer and songwriter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/topic\/diane-warren\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Diane Warren<\/strong><\/a> has now been nominated 17 times in the Oscars\u2019 best original song category. Her latest entry comes with a surreal metafictional twist: nominated song \u201cDear Me\u201d comes from <em>Diane Warren: Relentless<\/em>, a documentary portrait of Warren featuring testimonials from <strong>Cher,<\/strong> <strong>Common,<\/strong> <strong>Jennifer Hudson,<\/strong> and more. Perhaps <em>Elio<\/em> will fare better on streaming, where the film is available to rent or watch for free with a Disney+ subscription, and rent on YouTube, Prime Video, and Apple TV. \u2014<em>S.W.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>F1<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Vroom, vroom. <em>F1<\/em>, the big-budget picture that brought one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/style\/2022\/03\/netflix-drive-to-survive-and-the-new-cult-of-f1-fandom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">America\u2019s fastest-growing sports obsessions<\/a> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/story\/producer-jerry-bruckheimer-career-retrospective\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">big screen<\/a>, filled its tank with four nominations at the 2026 Oscars: best picture, best editing, best visual effects, and best sound. The <strong>Joseph Kosinski<\/strong>\u2013directed movie follows a once-promising journeyman driver (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/topic\/brad-pitt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Brad Pitt<\/strong><\/a>) mentoring an up-and-comer (<strong>Damson Idris<\/strong>) who was probably still sleeping in a race car bed by the time Pitt\u2019s character began burning rubber as a career. If you\u2019re ready to start your engine, <em>F1<\/em> streams free with an Apple TV subscription, or is available to rent on Prime Video, YouTube, and more. <em>\u2014K.W.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>Frankenstein<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">It\u2019s alive! <strong>Guillermo del Toro<\/strong>\u2019s <em>Frankenstein<\/em> has emerged as one of the strongest Oscar contenders, picking up nine nominations\u2014including best picture, best adapted screenplay for del Toro, and best supporting actor for <strong>Jacob Elordi,<\/strong> as well as a slew of below-the-line categories. (As a bonus: get ready to see Academy Award nominee Elordi all over ads for season three of <em>Euphoria.<\/em>) If you want to see del Toro\u2019s critically acclaimed Mary Shelley adaptation, you can just fire up Netflix. It\u2019s been streaming there since November 7. \u2014 <em>C.M.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>Hamnet<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Last year, best director nominee <strong>Chlo\u00e9 Zhao<\/strong> told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/story\/chloe-zhao-dream-weaver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a> that she had grand Oscar ambitions for her emotionally charged adaptation of <strong>Maggie O\u2019Farrell<\/strong>\u2019s novel, which imagines the family life of William Shakespeare (<strong>Paul Mescal<\/strong>) following the tragic loss of his young son, Hamnet (<strong>Jacobi Jupe<\/strong>). Best actress nominee <strong>Jessie Buckley<\/strong> is a major contender for her earthy, raw portrayal of Shakespeare\u2019s wife, Agnes. It appears Byrne stuck the landing with Academy voters, earning her first Oscar nomination for playing a therapist on the brink of her own mental collapse in <em>If I Had Legs I\u2019d Kick You.<\/em> The film is still playing in theaters and available to rent on platforms such as Prime Video, Apple TV, and YouTube. \u2014<em>S.W.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>It Was Just an Accident<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">This Palme d\u2019Or\u2013winning thriller, a co-production between Iran, France, and Luxembourg, had major Oscar buzz coming out of Cannes last May. Written and directed by <strong>Jafar Panahi<\/strong> (known for his clandestine 2011 documentary <em>This Is Not a Film),<\/em> the story follows released political prisoners seeking revenge after a chance roadside meeting. <em>It Was Just an Accident,<\/em> which was nominated for best international feature and best original screenplay, is currently playing in limited release and available for purchase on YouTube, Apple TV, Prime Video, Google Play, and Fandango at Home. <em>\u2014E.V.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>Jurassic World Rebirth<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Some people just don\u2019t learn their lesson. The seventh installment in the <em>Jurassic Park<\/em> franchise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/story\/jurassic-world-rebirth-first-look\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">once again finds<\/a> ambitious paleontologists retrieving DNA from dinosaur fossils. They\u2019re working for a pharmaceutical company to create new drugs; once again, things go terribly\u2014and bloodily\u2014wrong. Of course, purebred dinosaurs are hard to come by in SAG-AFTRA, so the film\u2019s visual effects team had their work cut out for them\u2014leading to an Oscar nod for the movie in the best-visual-effects category. <em>Jurassic World Rebirth<\/em> is available to stream with a subscription on Peacock, or to rent on YouTube, Apple TV, and Prime Video. <em>\u2014K.W.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\"><em><strong>KPop Demon Hunters<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Three young women have to save the world from demon takeover on the strength of their good vibes, sick dance moves, and infectiously catchy songs. What, like it\u2019s hard?
