Summer House<\/em><\/a> star Kyle Cooke<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out following his split from wife Amanda Batula<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think people will be surprised but also happy to see that Amanda and I are in a good spot,\u201d Cooke, 43, told \u201cHollywood Raw\u201d podcast host Adam Glyn<\/strong> in a video shared via TikTok<\/a> on Thursday, January 22. \u201cObviously the internet\u2019s gonna do its thing, but you know, we literally pushed send together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cooke and Batula, 34, confirmed their separation<\/a> on Monday, January 19, after four years of marriage, noting that they \u201cmutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple.\u201d The couple also asked for \u201cgrace and support\u201d from their fans as they \u201ctry to navigate\u201d their next steps.<\/p>\n

Cooke pointed out on Thursday, \u201cIt\u2019s a lot to swallow when your entire relationship from the very, very beginning is on TV. So we knew it wasn\u2019t gonna be easy,\u201d insisting that \u201cthere\u2019s still a lot of love\u201d between him and Batula despite their breakup.<\/p>\n

While he declined to specify when the pair went their separate ways, Cooke noted that fans \u201cpicked up\u201d on the fact that he and Batula were living separately. \u201cIt was like the worst kept secret, but we just weren\u2019t ready to talk about it,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

Cooke added that he and Batula are still figuring out what comes next as they prepare for season 10 of Summer House<\/em> to premiere.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe weren\u2019t lying about it. We didn\u2019t split, we didn\u2019t separate. We were trying to figure out the best way to give our relationship another shot. And ultimately, we decided we don\u2019t wanna give each other false hope, we don\u2019t wanna give our friends and family false hope, we don\u2019t wanna give fans false hope. \u2026 There\u2019s no playbook,\u201d he said on Thursday. \u201cWe were very much on the same page where we knew we needed to create some space \u2026 This is not some big surprise.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reality star also noted that fans will see him and Batula doing press together for their show. \u201cThis isn\u2019t like a big breakup where there\u2019s a smoking gun and there\u2019s a lot of hate. \u2026 We got each other\u2019s back,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Shortly after Cooke and Batula announced their split, a source exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> that the two \u201cwere having ongoing issues all summer and decided to separate in the fall<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the insider, the reality stars were \u201ctechnically\u201d already \u201cseparated\u201d at BravoCon 2025 in November, but \u201ckept it under wraps.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahead of their split, Batula \u201crealized that Kyle\u2019s behavior was not changing,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

Batula ultimately reached her \u201cbreaking point\u201d after Cooke was caught \u201csleeping at a fan\u2019s house\u201d<\/a> and continued \u201cstaying out late and partying like he is in his 20s, and not understanding her needs after they had multiple conversations,\u201d the insider told Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe felt unheard and emotionally exhausted,\u201d the source revealed, adding that both Batula and Cooke \u201crealized they are on different pages and don\u2019t want the same things in life anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Cooke was \u201cdeeply upset by the separation and didn\u2019t expect things to reach this point,\u201d the insider noted that he \u201cunderstood he cannot be what Amanda wants.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are on completely different wavelengths,\u201d the source told Us<\/em> of the estranged couple. \u201cOver time, it became impossible to ignore that they were no longer aligned.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Cooke and Batula\u2019s friends, the split was \u201cnot shocking\u201d to the people in the former couple\u2019s inner circle because \u201cit has been a long time coming,\u201d though their loved ones are still \u201csad about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, the insider revealed that Batula wanted \u201cto divorce, but neither of them [had] lawyers or any plan in place\u201d as of yet.<\/p>\n
