\nThe Frozen actress was the awards’ first-ever host in 2018, 23 years after the first ceremony, with Megan Mullally taking over presenting duties the following year. However, there was no official host again until Kristen returned last year.<\/p>\n
\nOne Battle After Another leads the nominations for the Actor Awards.<\/p>\n
\nThe hit action thriller film has earned a record-breaking seven nominations in total, including individual nods for Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, and Benicio del Toro.<\/p>\n
\nLeonardo is among the nominees for the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role gong. However, he’ll face stiff competition from Timothee Chalamet (Marty Supreme) , Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners) and Jesse Plemons (Begonia) for the award.<\/p>\n
\nElsewhere, Chase is competing with Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), and Emma Stone (Begonia) for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role gong.<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Sinners – the hit horror film written and directed by Ryan Coogler – has earned the second-most nominations of any film, with five in total.<\/p>\n
\nMichael B. Jordan, Miles Caton, and Wunmi Mosaku have all been nominated for individual awards. However, Hailee Steinfeld – who played Michael’s on-screen love interest in the movie – has been overlooked for a nomination.<\/p>\n
\nThe awards ceremony will air on Netflix on March 1.<\/p>\n
\nThe event organisers previously explained the decision to change the name of the awards.<\/p>\n
\nThey said: “We wanted to provide clearer recognition in terms of what the show is about for our domestic and global audiences \u2014 we honour actors in film and television. Laser-focusing the name on those two things became the clearest and most straightforward path for this new chapter of the show.”<\/p>\n
