I\u2019ve just been living in the moment. Haven\u2019t really been thinking of things.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4227717\" style=\"width: 900px;\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<div class=\"ratio-based-placeholder\" style=\"padding-bottom:75.142857142857%;\"><\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span class=\"caption\"><br \/>\n Katie Kroll, Austen Kroll.<\/span> <span class=\"credit\">Courtesy of Austen Kroll\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Katie then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/southern-charms-rodrigo-slams-nick-vialls-wife-for-austen-kroll-question\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">calls out her big brother<\/a> for seemingly not being invested enough in the couple\u2019s next steps.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have been dating [for] a year and a half and if you\u2019re having hesitation about Audrey moving here, like, what is that telling you?\u201d Katie says. \u201cTo be honest, if you\u2019re not gung-ho then what are you?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Austen is visibly taken aback by his sister\u2019s bluntness, asking, \u201cWhy are you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/southern-charms-austen-blows-up-at-shep-and-craig-over-cheating-rumors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sounding aggressive<\/a>?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause I love Audrey,\u201d Katie responds. \u201cI feel like at this point you should feel that gung-ho.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Austen later tells the cameras that he does have \u201csome reservations\u201d about his and Audrey\u2019s relationship, noting, \u201cMuch like I had some reservations of getting cats, for God\u2019s sake. They\u2019re reservations like, \u2018Wait, this could be the last next step of my life?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Austen is once again at a loss for words when Katie asks whether there is a \u201cbenefit to stepping back\u201d from the romance and questioning, \u201cDo I miss you enough? It\u2019s in six months, you don\u2019t have to worry about that meteor for six months,\u201d Austen tells the cameras. \u201cI\u2019m just enjoying it even though I know that it\u2019s there and it\u2019s coming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The proverbial meteor did eventually crash into Austen and Audrey, who split before season 11 of <em>Southern Charm<\/em> premiered in November 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Austen and Audrey<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/southern-charms-austen-kroll-and-audrey-pratts-relationship-timeline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> began dating in December 2023<\/a>, but it wasn\u2019t until February 2024 that fans got a glimpse at their romance. At the time, the Trop Hop beer founder shared a series of photos via Instagram from a group trip to Mexico with Audrey as his date.<\/p>\n<p>After one year together, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/southern-charms-austen-and-madison-on-his-new-girlfriend-audrey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Austen exclusively told <em>Us<\/em><\/a> in December 2024 that he wasn\u2019t in a hurry to settle down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an interesting thing, but we\u2019re certainly not rushing anything and we\u2019re just enjoying [it],\u201d he shared at the time, saying the distance between them was \u201ca quick little drive.
