Billy Bob Thornton has rejected reports that he could be leaving Landman<\/p>\n
The 70-year-old actor plays the lead role of Tommy Norris in the Paramount+ series and had dismissed speculation that he won’t be returning for the third season as “AI-generated c***”.<\/p>\n
Thornton told USA Today: “There’s an AI report that Demi (Moore, co-star) and I are a couple now, and there’s one that I’m leaving the show. <\/p>\n
“They have nothing to do with reality.”<\/p>\n
Landman was renewed for a third season last month and Thornton explained that he will “be there” on set because he enjoys working on the show.<\/p>\n
\nThe A Simple Plan star said: “It’s been great working with Sam (Elliott). And I love doing the show.<\/p>\n
\n“I’ll be here as long as it plays out. If it’s five years, great. If it’s six, I’m there.”<\/p>\n
\nThornton previously explained how he is very different to his character as he tries to keep him self separated from both Hollywood and politics.<\/p>\n
\nAsked to compare himself to Tommy, he told People: “Well, I kind of don’t. I stay home.<\/p>\n
\n“I mean, really, I don’t talk about politics and stuff with people. I just kind of stay out of it all. I’m not really much of a part of Hollywood, as you say. I’m at home with my family, or I’m in a recording studio or on the road or making this.<\/p>\n
\n“Those are things that I do, and I just kind of mind my own business.”<\/p>\n
\nBilly turned 70 last summer but refused to celebrate his milestone birthday and even instructed his wife Connie Angland not to “mention it to anybody” so he could spend the day at home with his family.<\/p>\n
\nThe father-of-four told Rolling Stone magazine: “Connie asked me what I wanted and I said: ‘Nothing, absolutely nothing. As a matter of fact, don’t mention it to anybody’.<\/p>\n
\n“We really just hung out here at the house, just me and Connie and the kids, and had a nice time, and they got me a vegan cake, which – I can’t eat wheat or dairy, so that was awesome. Anytime a guy like me could have cake, it’s a great day.”<\/p>\n
\nThornton explained that he feels very happy with his sixth wife Connie, who he married in 2014.<\/p>\n
\nThe Bad Santa actor said: “Connie and I have been together 23 years and married for 12. Our daughter is 20. So, I found the right spot to be.<\/p>\n
\n“The other times I got married were just like, you had a little too much to drink one night and somebody said: ‘We should get married.’<\/p>\n
\n“You go: ‘Yeah, OK.’ I always tell people, at least I was trying.”<\/p>\n
