Bo Nix<\/strong>\u2019s wife, Izzy Nix<\/strong>, is showing fans an emotional behind-the-scenes moment after the Denver Broncos quarterback suffered a season-ending injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI snuck this picture because I wanted to remember this moment forever,\u201d Izzy, 27, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Monday, January 19, showing her husband sitting in the corner of what appeared to be a trainer\u2019s room or locker room hallway after the Broncos\u2019 Saturday, January 17, playoff win against the Buffalo Bills.<\/p>\n

In the picture, Bo, 25, could be seen sitting on the floor with his ankle extended and his arms crossed \u2014 still wearing his uniform and pads from the game \u2014 surrounded by four other individuals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe joy, followed by the heartbreak, followed by watching each teammate and coach come to this little corner and sit by Bo\u2019s side,\u201d Izzy continued in the social media upload. \u201cGod could have placed us anywhere, and I\u2019m so grateful He chose Denver. He is the perfect Author of Bo\u2019s story and we cannot wait to see what HE has in store for this team \u2014 We\u2019ll be on the front row, cheering the loudest!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Izzy, who announced in October 2025 that she is expecting the pair\u2019s first child, also added a passage from the Bible, 2 Corinthians 4:16-17, in smaller font.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day,\u201d the verse read. \u201cFor this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.\u201d<\/p>\n

Broncos head coach Sean Payton<\/strong> shocked the sports world when, after Saturday\u2019s game, he told reporters Bo had broken his ankle and would be out for the remainder of the 2025-2026 postseason.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot good news \u2026 Bo fractured a bone in his right ankle,\u201d Payton said after his team\u2019s 33-30 win over the Bills. \u201cHe\u2019s scheduled to have surgery Tuesday of this week to put him out for the rest of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Payton continued, \u201cI\u2019ll tell you what, the one thing about it. He\u2019s such a strong, faith-based guy. He was sitting in the hallway with his family, and I went over, and we\u2019re all talking to him. He knows that God has a plan for him. He said he had one in high school, and then he said he had one at Auburn. I said, \u2018I didn\u2019t realize that.\u2019 I said, \u2018If I would have known that, I wouldn\u2019t have drafted you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
