Scarlett Johansson<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s record as the highest-grossing actor was recently smashed by Zoe Salda\u00f1a<\/strong> \u2014 but the Black Widow<\/em> star\u2019s husband is looking at the bright side of life.<\/p>\n

Colin Jost<\/strong><\/a> was the butt of Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a>\u2019s joke on Saturday, January 17, that addressed the all-female box office toppling. Reading off Weekend Update\u2019s cue cards, Jost, 43, told the camera, \u201cZoe Salda\u00f1a, who stars in the new Avatar<\/em> movie, has surpassed Scarlett Johansson to become the highest-grossing actress of all time.\u201d To accompany his words, a visual graph was shown to represent both actors\u2019 earnings.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s see what happens if you include the box office from Scarlett\u2019s husband\u2019s movies,\u201d an amused Jost continued as the graph indicated a fall from $15.4 billion to $15.1 billion, which led to Jost laughing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt went down?\u201d he hilariously asked.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tColin Jost has had to laugh off several jokes about his wife, Scarlett Johansson, during season 49 of Saturday Night Live. Johansson, who married the \u201cWeekend Update\u201d co-anchor in October 2020 after meeting her on the set of SNL, previously admitted that she\u2019s been nervous to watch the NBC variety show. \u201cI now rarely watch [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The public reference comes after Johansson, 41, was eclipsed by Salda\u00f1a, 47, following the release of her new film Avatar: Fire and Ash<\/em>, which pushed Salda\u00f1a\u2019s earnings up to $15.47 billion, per reporting by Variety<\/em><\/a>. Johansson currently sits at $15.40 billion.<\/p>\n

Salda\u00f1a addressed her achievement by sharing an Instagram<\/a> video that thanked fans. \u201cI just want to express my sincerest gratitude for the extraordinary journey that has led me to become the highest grossing film actor of all time today,\u201d she said in the clip. \u201cAn achievement made entirely possible by the incredible franchises and the collaborators that I have been fortunate to be a part of.\u201d<\/p>\n
