{"id":217258,"date":"2026-01-17T11:51:26","date_gmt":"2026-01-17T11:51:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2026\/01\/17\/shannen-dohertys-ex-husband-fires-back-at-estate\/"},"modified":"2026-01-17T11:51:26","modified_gmt":"2026-01-17T11:51:26","slug":"shannen-dohertys-ex-husband-fires-back-at-estate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2026\/01\/17\/shannen-dohertys-ex-husband-fires-back-at-estate\/","title":{"rendered":"Shannen Doherty&#8217;s ex-husband fires back at estate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"byline\">\n<p>        <time itemprop=\"datePublished\" content=\"2026-01-17\" datetime=\"1768650686\" pubdate=\"\">17 January 2026<\/time>\n    <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/shannen-doherty\/\" class=\"exposure-link \" data-linktrack=\"LinkTracker,articleExposure,shannen-doherty\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shannen Doherty<\/a>&#8216;s ex-husband is fighting the late actress\u2019 estate over money claims.<\/p>\n<p>                            <\/p>\n<p class=\"image-caption landscape\">Shannen Doherty&#8217;s ex-husband fires back at estate<\/p>\n<p>The late actress filed for divorce from Kurt Iswarienko in 2023 after 11 years of marriage and signed the settlement one day before she died in July 2024 but attorneys for her estate recently filed a petition against Iswarienko, claiming he has not abided by the terms of the legal agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Shannon\u2019s legal team and Christopher Cortazzo, trustee of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/shannen-doherty\/\" class=\"exposure-link \" data-linktrack=\"LinkTracker,articleExposure,shannen-doherty\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shannen Doherty<\/a> Family Trust, alleged that her ex-husband failed to comply with several &#8220;monetary obligations&#8221; from the divorce settlement.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to Us Weekly, Iswarienko\u2019s lawyer claims the signed divorce agreement was brought to the wrong court and is now challenging the jurisdiction of the case.<\/p>\n<p>He argues that the divorce deal should not have been filed after Doherty\u2019s death and that the court has no jurisdiction to enforce the terms of the agreement.<\/p>\n<p>\nAccording to the terms of the deal, obtained by PEOPLE, Iswarienko was required to sell her $1.5 million Texas home and &#8220;equally divide the net proceeds with [her] estate\u201d but, it has been alleged he \u201crefused to list\u201d the home, where he appears to be currently living.<\/p>\n<p>\nHe allegedly has also &#8220;refused to return [Doherty&#8217;s] items of personal property\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\nAdditionally, Iswarienko has reportedly failed to &#8220;produce his inventory&#8221; of photographs of Doherty. <\/p>\n<p>\nHe is said to be \u201c14 months delinquent&#8221; on a request to give copies of all photographs of Doherty to her estate no later than September 1, 2024. <\/p>\n<p>\nAnd, while Iswarienko was to buy out Doherty&#8217;s share of a Mooney M-20 airplane for $100,000 and pay that sum to her estate within five business days of the sale, he allegedly &#8220;unilaterally withheld $50,274&#8221; after making the sale.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Pagination --><\/p>\n<p><!-- playbuzz --><br \/>\n<!-- end playbuzz--><\/p>\n<p><!-- \n\n<div data-cn-project=\"femalefirst\">\n    \n<\/div>\n\n --><\/p>\n<p><!-- Outbrain { date: 2018\/06\/08 } --><br \/>\n<!-- Outbrain { date: 2018\/06\/08 } --><\/p>\n<p>    <!-- Outbrain { date: 2018\/06\/08 } --><br \/>\n    <!-- Outbrain { date: 2018\/06\/08 } --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/celebrity\/shannen-dohertys-husband-fires-back-estate-1436214.html?f=rss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>17 January 2026 Shannen Doherty&#8216;s ex-husband is fighting the late actress\u2019 estate over money claims.
