\t\t<\/p>\n Mike Flanagan<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s take on The Exorcist<\/em><\/a> has a release date!<\/p>\n It\u2019s still more than a year away, but Variety<\/a><\/em> reports that the film will come out on March 12, 2027<\/strong>. At one point, Universal had plans to release it in March 2026, but a delayed production has made that impossible.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The film stars Scarlett Johansson<\/strong><\/a> and Jacobi Jupe<\/strong><\/a>, best known for the acclaimed film Hamnet<\/em>. Mike<\/strong> himself will be writing, directing, and producing. He\u2019s best known for projects like The Haunting of Hill House<\/em>, Midnight Mass<\/em>, Doctor Sleep<\/em>, and The Fall of the House of Usher<\/em>.<\/p>\n His version of The Exorcist<\/em> is meant to be a \u201cradical new take\u201d on the iconic property started by William Peter Blatty<\/strong>\u2018s novel of the same name, which adapted into the 1973 horror classic starring Linda Blair<\/strong> and Ellen Burstyn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Mike<\/strong> is also working on a new Carrie<\/a><\/em> series for Amazon that is expected to come out in 2026.<\/p>\n Another big horror movie also just received a 2027 release date<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
