The 43-year-old actor has been photographed with the 68-year-old beauty mogul at parties for her global makeup brand, Anastasia Beverly Hills, over the years, and now it turns out that the duo have a connection.<\/p>\n
Anastasia told Elle magazine: “I am his godmother! He\u2019s from Romania, from the same town I was from. His mother has been my friend since we were in the fifth grade.”<\/p>\n
She added: “His mom lives in New York, but we see each other when she comes here to visit.”<\/p>\n
The successful businesswoman then shared how proud she is of her Oscar-nominated godson – who was born in Constanta, Romania.<\/p>\n
\nAnastasia continued: “He\u2019s an amazing person, and such a talent. I love him.”<\/p>\n
\nSebastian was aged 12 when he and his mom, Georgeta Orlovschi, immigrated to Rockland County, New York, in the early 1990s, after they lived in Vienna, Austria, for a short time following their departure from Romania.<\/p>\n
\nIn March 2025, the actor brought his mom – who married the headmaster of a school in the US – as his guest to the Academy Awards because he was nominated in the Best Actor in a Leading Role category for his performance as businessman Donald Trump in The Apprentice.<\/p>\n
\nSebastian – who lost out on the gong to Adrien Brody, 52, for his performance as architect-and-Holocaust survivor Laszlo Toth in The Brutalist – dressed in a smart black tuxedo for the event, but he failed to shave his beard, which upset Georgeta.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking on Live From E! The Oscars red carpet, he admitted: “She was very upset I didn\u2019t shave tonight. So when I told her I can\u2019t because I have to do this other role – she was preferring I didn\u2019t have the beard.”<\/p>\n
\nHowever, Georgeta insisted she was “very proud” of her son’s achievements.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “He works very hard, so he deserves the best, and I can\u2019t be more proud. He is adorable.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd the Marvel Cinematic Universe actor insisted there was no one else he could have brought along than his mom.<\/p>\n
\nSebastian said: “It\u2019s been a long time coming, but I had to have her here with me.”<\/p>\n
